Pictures of the redesigned Audi A6 2023 have appeared on the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, showing slight styling changes.

Auto experts believe that similar changes will be received by the regular-wheelbase model, which will soon appear in Europe and North America.

The current version of the Audi A6 was introduced back in August 2018.

And in November, the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture released the long-wheelbase A6 L only for China.

Four years later, it was time to update the model in the middle of its life cycle.

After all, both of the sedan’s main competitors, the BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, underwent upgrades in 2020.

The published photos show the 45 TFSI variant in two different configurations, as you can tell from the design of the bumpers.

One has vertical lines on the Singleframe grille and Y-shaped chrome inserts on the air intakes. The second modification, most likely S-Line, shows a more sporty look.

There is a different pattern on the grille and more complex air intakes.

Apart from the redesigned LED graphics on the headlights, the new design of the 19-inch wheels, several badges celebrating the 30th anniversary of the model and additional chrome trim on the bumper, the sedan looks identical to its predecessor.

The situation is similar at the rear. Here, the changes are limited to an additional chrome overlay on the bumper surrounding the faux exhaust pipes.

The facelift may bring more standard ADAS features and an update to the infotainment system in the cabin.

That said, the 10.1-inch touchscreen and 12.3-inch digital dashboard will likely remain.

The 45 TFSI badge and specs suggest that the A6 L pictured is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 241 horsepower.

Power is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive system.

Since this is an extended variant, its wheelbase is 3,024 mm, which is 100 mm more than that of the regular sedan.

The updated Audi A6 is expected to be unveiled in the coming months.
