2021 Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron: coupé-like crossover with electric drive.
Presented in the form of a concept, the new model of the electric car Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron 2021 in a cross-coupe body differs from the serial predecessor in details of a sporty style in a body design, a more comfortable cabin interior, significantly improved starting and running characteristics.

The new generation of the electric car is not just another restyling of the corporate model, but most likely a demonstration of intentions. Nevertheless, already in the status of a concept, the new model range has initiated an increased interest from experts and drivers of different age categories.

Exterior

In the front projection photo, the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron attracts attention with its combination of excellent aerodynamics and details of the ribbed bodywork. In sight:

• longitudinal profiles and raised sidewalls of the hood inclined along the front edge;

• aggressive squint of multi-element LED optics units;

• decorative radiator cladding complemented by a silvery perimeter and a branded logo.

The lower tier of the front end includes a racing configuration of ventilation diffusers, compact fog lamps, a chrome nameplate and a protective panel of a small-sized plastic body kit.

The new body of the coupe-like electric crossover in the profile projection looks dynamic and a little aggressive. When viewed from the side, the new model range demonstrates a number of futuristic design and layout solutions.

The design features of the new electric car:

• almost identical angles of inclination of the windshield and the roof sloping steeply to the trunk;

• upper chrome-plated semi-perimeter and three-section side glazing window sills ascending to the rear pillars;

• stylish panoramic mirrors;

• harmonious combination of wave and step relief elements.

The belonging of the electric vehicle to the crossover family is confirmed by the vertical plane of the tailgate, high off-road clearance, increased volume of wheel arches with exclusive 22-inch disks, and the presence of a protective plastic skirt on the lower perimeter of the body.

The design of the rear side of the body contains the characteristic features of a sports liftback and classic crossover configuration. In stock:

• a gentle slope of the rear glazing;

• ribbed aerodynamic spoiler;

• LED lintel for stylish lights with modern graphics and compact tailgate branding.

The lower part of the stern demonstrates a figured bumper with decorative plastic inserts and a diagonal layout of a metal-plastic body kit typical for crossover SUVs. Decorated with a silver bumper trim, ribbed details and illuminated E-tron lettering.

Interior

The body of the seventh serial branded electric vehicle provides the driver and four passengers with large amounts of personal space, comfortable seating and excellent characteristics of onboard multimedia equipment.

There are several varieties of natural leather, durable and beautiful facing plastic and polished metal in the finishing and decorating assortment. The interior design is dominated by a combination of practicality, functionality and carefully thought out ergonomics.

• Sport steering wheel configuration with cut-off lower segment offers excellent visibility to the digital instrument cluster with projector.

• The main part of the command functionality is concentrated on the multi-mode touchscreen monitor of the standard multimedia complex.

An exception was made for the climate control system, which received a separate remote control with analog buttons and switches.

• A separate panel with buttons for switching travel modes is included in the design of the lower suspended console. The volume of the tunnel includes a well for small-sized luggage and several organizers. The complete set of the tunnel is completed with a comfortable armrest on long journeys.

The crossover status implies adequate comfort and seating service. Front seats with effective lateral support and adjustable head restraints will receive several operational adjustments, heating and ventilation circuits.

The rear couch riders can change the backrest tilt and convert the center seat into an armrest. There is no information about the capacity of the trunk and a significant increase in its volume due to the partial dismantling of the sofa backrest for this hour.

Specifications

In relation to the serial predecessor, the external dimensions of the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron model of 2021 have been corrected in the ratios of 4597 x 1905 and 1626 mm. Suspension, 2,769 mm wheelbase and 185 mm off-road ground clearance remain unchanged.

• Multidisciplinary test drive showed that a tandem of two electric motors with a total power of 306 hp. and a peak thrust coefficient of 460 Nm is capable of accelerating a one and a half ton electric car to the first hundred in just 6.3 seconds.

• The resource of a modular battery with an energy capacity of 83 kW guarantees a mileage without recharging up to 450 km. In economy mode, the indicator increases by another 50 km.

The upper limit of the maximum speed is 180 km / h. Charging times ranging from 30 minutes to several hours are determined by the power and operating mode of the charging equipment.
