BMW 4 Series Convertible 2021.

The fourth series BMW convertible will appear in Russia in the spring.
In the new generation BMW of the fourth series Cabrio received a soft convertible top, abandoning the rigid roof of its predecessor.

Naturally, this decision favorably affected the weight and height of the center of gravity, because the fabric roof, developed from scratch, is 40% lighter than the previous steel one.

The Germans talk about combining the best features of a soft top and rigid panels in the new design. Despite the switch to fabric, the roof has better heat and sound insulation properties than the previous convertible.

Two versions of the convertible will be available on the Russian market:

420i Cabrio (2.0, 184 HP, 300 N • m, from zero to 100 in 8.2 s) and М440i xDrive Cabrio (3.0, 374 HP, 500 N • m, 4.9 s). And in other markets, in addition to these modifications, there will be convertibles with indices 430i (2.0, 258 HP, 400 N • m, 6.2 s), 420d (2.0, 190 HP, 400 N • m, 7 , 6 s), 430d (3.0, 286 HP, 650 N • m, 5.9 s) and M440d xDrive (3.0, 340 HP, 700 N • m, 5.1 s).

True, the last two modifications will join the range in July and November 2021, respectively. All versions are equipped with an eight-band «automatic» Steptronic (on versions with the letter M — Steptronic Sport).

The simplest configuration of the 420i Cabrio Base includes conventional suspension, six airbags, LED headlights, rain sensor, dynamic cruise control, parking sensors front and rear, 18-inch alloy wheels, M Sport package including M aerodynamics package, interior trim in Vernasca leather , automatic climate control for three zones, heated front seats, sports M heated steering wheel, velor mats.

Depending on the equipment / options, here you can see a stiffer M Sport suspension, adaptive dampers, laser headlights, a rear differential with electronic locking, front seats with ventilation and an «air collar», BMW Live Cockpit Professional with 12.3-inch digital dashboard and central screen at 10.25, head-up display.
