Dallara Stradale EXP 2022. The Italians presented the track supercar Dallara EXP with an engine from the Ford Focus RS.

The Italian company Dallara has declassified the EXP track supercar, built on the basis of the Dallara Stradale road two-door.

It is reported that the novelty has retained the original carbon monocoque, although its body kit has been seriously redesigned. In particular, the car got a larger splitter and flaps at the front, and an enlarged wing appeared at the stern.

Interestingly, the track version of the supercar lost the windshield and roof, which was offered for the road Stradale as an option.

According to the developers, at maximum speed (290 km / h) such a car is capable of generating up to 1249 kg of downforce. This is an impressive figure considering that the car weighs only 890 kg.

The Dallara EXP is powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo four from the Ford Focus 3 RS. The road Stradale is also equipped with the same motor.

At the same time, on the track version, the engine was additionally modified by Bosch specialists. As a result, the performance of the power unit was brought to 493 hp. (+ 98) and 700 Nm (+ 200).

The motor works in tandem with a six-speed sequential gearbox that transfers traction to the rear wheels via a Quaife limited slip differential.

Shod in racing slicks, the track Dallara EHP is capable of cornering with lateral acceleration of up to 2.7g. That’s almost double that of high-performance road supercars and hypercars.

The Italians have not yet advertised the cost of the novelty, but they note that the owners of road cars may well «upgrade» to the EXP version and then simply change the components on the car, making it suitable either for the track or for public roads.
