Ford Fiesta 2022 — updated versions of the popular hatchback for the European market.
Ford engineers have presented to the public an upgraded version of the Fiesta, which has received an updated exterior and interior. In addition, the car is equipped with a number of additional technological solutions.
It should be noted that the updated model Ford Fiesta 2022 is the intermediate restyling between generations. It is a kind of response to the appearance of SEAT Ibiza, Opel Corsa, VW Polo.
There are several versions of Fiesta:
Trend.
Titanium.
ST-Line.
Active.
ST.
The novelty, as before, is assembled with a five- or three-door body variation. The design design will be the new face of subsequent Ford models.
Appearance
The restyled version of the hatchback should appeal to domestic motorists, and each of the four versions of the Fiesta 2022 has its own design of the grille.
Trend and Titanium have chrome trim around the perimeter. For the sporty ST model, the engineer was inspired by Ford Performance — the grille is honeycomb black.
The same dark finish is done in the front bumper, the body is painted in a new shade of Mean Green.
The color is only for the ST version, and the overall palette includes two new ranges — Boundless Blue and Beautiful Berry.
The Fiesta Active grille has vertical slats, and there are high air intakes on both sides. This design gives the car an off-road character.
The nose of the new car is slightly raised, and the company’s blue oval «Ford» emblem has changed its location — it moved from the hood to the grille.
Headlights now have all absolutely all variations of hatchback received LED stuffing and decorated in a dark tone. As an additional option appear matrix, as well as diode lights.
At the same time, the headlights in the front are placed in a black trim, while the rear optics are slightly darkened, and completely.
As a result, the front of the car began to look predatory and harsh, like any other living predator.
The manufacturer used to produce a luxury version of the Vignale, but this time the company decided not to produce these models anymore.

The profile part remains almost the same, but it can be diluted with wheel designs. In total, the manufacturer provides seven design variations.
Interior and equipment
The interior of the previous models turned out to be attractive, so the manufacturer decided not to make cardinal changes. The innovations are insignificant.
For example, a digital dashboard 12.3″ diagonal, which can be easily adjusted.
There are several options for its graphics, but all this is available only in more expensive configurations. Basic models are equipped with a standard analog dashboard.
Also available is the Ford Sync 3 multimedia system with an 8″ display. On the windshield mounted camera is part of the complex Wrong Way Alert.
The system works together with the navigator and is able to notify the driver when he is entering the oncoming lane.
In addition, the list of equipment includes other useful and necessary options:
Cruise control, which has Stop&Go functionality;
parking radar;
blind spot monitoring system.
Also the combination of FordPass Connect with a mobile app allows you to control some of the car’s systems. In particular, to start the power unit, turn on the door lock.
Inside the sporty ST version, there are new Performance seats, which have developed side support. There are built-in headrests, and the seats are trimmed with Sencico leather.
A Vignale package, carbon décor, is available for all but the standard package. For a surcharge you can count on the Bang Olufsen sound system, which includes a subwoofer and 10 speakers.
Technical Specifications
Under the hood of the «charged» version of ST is a 1.5-liter turbocharged power plant with three cylinders, which can deliver approximately 200 hp and 320 Nm of torque.
With this unit, the hatchback accelerates to a «hundred» in 6.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 230 km/h.
In front of the car there are two-tube shock absorbers Tenneco, but if you make a surcharge, the engineers will put a differential with increased internal resistance Quaife.
The standard Eco mode is replaced by Track. In this case, the engine is switched off and the car is switched to a sliding mode, which provides fuel economy.

All engines have two options for the transmission. This is a 6-speed manual transmission or 7-band automatic transmission, which has a double clutch.

Release date and prices
The release of the new model Ford Fiesta after restyling is planned for the beginning of 2022.
There is no exact information about the price and packages, the information should appear before the start of sales.
Although we can predict that the price tag will be at least 20,000 euros.
