Hyundai i20 N Line 2022. Crossovers and electric cars continue to persistently take over the world, but some manufacturers have not yet abandoned the production of compact «lighters», which are able to shoot out at a traffic light and give a sense of sport and dynamism, combined with comfort and relatively affordable price.
So it happened with the brand Hyundai, which despite the release of crossovers and budget sedans has not abandoned the segment of hot hatchbacks and has officially introduced a new compact i20 N Line in India.
It has become the first-born N-series from the Korean company on the local market.
The car will be offered there only in the top versions.
It would seem that a liter engine under the hood is not serious. But it will be able to «light up» many other cars because of the turbocharger and perfectly tuned dynamics.
There are no full-fledged N-series cars from Hyundai in India yet. At the moment, all the changes, compared to the usual i20, are more cosmetic in nature.
At the front, there is a beautiful grille with matte black elements and N Line logo, which is emphasized by a sports bumper.
On the side the appearance of the car continues with an elegant skirt, which is attached to the sills.
A compact spoiler on the trunk lid and red inserts on the bumpers and sills complete the picture.
The dimensions of the i20 N Line are identical to the conventional i20. The total length is 3995 mm, width — 1775 mm, height — 1505 mm.
The Hyundai i20 N Line features the same liter three-cylinder GDi turbocharged petrol engine, tuned to deliver 118bhp at 6,000rpm and 172N*m at 1,500-4,000rpm.
Transmission options will include a six-speed manual transmission (iMT) and a seven-speed dual-clutch robot (DCT).
The DCT version will accelerate to 100 km/h in 9.9 seconds.
Hyundai also reports that the steering geometry has been redesigned to improve handling at higher speeds for easier cornering, and the suspension has been tuned for a 30 percent increase in damping.
