KIA Forte 2022.

KIA Forte 2022 for the U.S. market has been updated following the couple K3 and Cerato.

The Koreans have introduced the KIA Forte 2022 model year for the North American market, which has received the same design changes as the previously introduced couple K3 and Cerato.

There are new headlights, as well as modified front bumper and grille.

Behind the four-door got different headlights, united with a crosspiece on the trunk lid.

Inside, expensive versions have a 10.25-inch display of the multimedia system, although the base has an 8.0″ screen.

At that, a digital dashboard available for Korean K3 is not for Russian Cerato or American Forte.

In terms of equipment for the model offered wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as an expanded set of electronic aids «Drive Wise», including adaptive cruise control with reference to the navigation data, tracking, keeping in the strip, recognition of road signs and a system of collision avoidance with pedestrians.

The base model with manual transmission is gone from the lineup, while the engines themselves remain the same.

Overseas, the KIA Forte 2022 is offered with a 2.0-liter atmospheric MPI engine rated at 149 hp paired with a variable-speed IVT, while the GT variant with independent rear suspension is equipped with a more powerful 1.6-liter turbo T-GDI engine rated at 204 hp.

The latter is available as a pair with a six-speed manual gearbox, and with a pre-selective seven-band robot.

The plant of the brand in Monterrey, Mexico, produces cars for the U.S. market; the price for the new Forte begins at $17,890.

Back in April, Kia introduced the updated K3, known in Russia as the Cerato. Now the Korean model has made its way to the North American market.

Here it is sold as the Forte. In preparation for this version of the sedan, Kia did not change the old name, but added a new brand logo and some of the technological solutions borrowed from the K5.

Interestingly, the manufacturer has so far published only one photo of the 2022 Forte in GT variant. Judging by the photo, the Korean model has undergone significant changes.

Thus, the manufacturer has completely redesigned the optics, giving it LED lights, and the radiator grille.

The latter has become longer and narrower, but kept its recognized shape. The Forte GT version also has a sports front bumper with three-point LED fog lights, which are placed one above the other.

The top versions of sedan are equipped with remote engine start, leather seats and 15 safety systems, some of which appeared with the updating of Korean model: blind spot monitoring, speed limits monitoring and others.
