Lamborghini Aventador SVJ: Nürburgring record holder.

The most extreme supercar ever. The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ was unveiled at a special event as part of Automotive Week in Monterey at the end of August two thousand and eighteenth, and its world premiere took place at the Paris Motor Show.

Outside, the new Lamborghini Aventador SVJ (the name of the modification is derived from SV — «Super Veloce» and Jota, referring to the prototype Miura 400 Jota) has received many cosmetic changes, but they are all part of active aerodynamics.

Compared to other versions of the model, this variant is distinguished by a completely redesigned front bumper with air ducts in the upper part, sill trims, an original engine compartment cover, and an unusual double wing.

In addition, the supercar received a redesigned diffuser and exhaust with two round tailpipes in the rear between the lights. There are also rims of the original design, “shod” in special Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires measuring 255/30 R20 at the front and 355/25 R21 at the rear, and for an additional charge you can order Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R track tires.

Inside the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, there are no cardinal differences from the updated Aventador S — except that the trim provides for a wider use of suede and a lot of carbon fiber inserts, and as an option for the car, you can order a proprietary telemetry system.

From the looks of it, the SVJ Aventador will be the brand’s last supercar with a V12 engine without any electrical superstructure. Here the 6.5-liter aspirated engine was boosted to 770 hp. and 720 Nm of torque, while «eske» it produces 750 forces. The engine is paired with a seven-band ISR robot.

The supercar needs 2.8 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km / h, it takes 8.6 seconds to reach 200 km / h. (- 0.2), and the maximum speed reaches 351 kilometers per hour. The brakes here are carbon-ceramic with 400mm discs and six-piston calipers at the front and 380mm and four-piston at the rear. To stop at 100 km / h, the car needs exactly 30 meters.

The dry weight of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is 1,525 kg (- 50), with a weight-to-power ratio of 1.98 kilograms per horsepower. In the presence of a fully controlled chassis and adaptive shock absorbers with magnetorheological fluid (they were made 15% stiffer).

In addition, for the coupe, the steering settings, the operation of the ABS and the stabilization system were calibrated, and the anti-roll bars became one third less pliable.

But the main thing here is the Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva active aerodynamics system, which first appeared on the Lamborghini Huracan Performante supercar.

The idea is that the electronics control special dampers located in a plurality of ventilation ducts. All this allows you to adjust the level of downforce, providing either high maximum speed, or stability when cornering.

At top speed, the aerodynamic tail of the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ generates 490 kg of downforce (+ 40%), and in corners the ALA 2.0 system works in such a way as to load the left and right sides differently.

Six months after the premiere of the coupe, the Italians prepared an open Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster equipped with a similar engine, the same Graziano robot with one clutch, all-wheel drive, fully-controlled chassis and active aerodynamics system.

The removable hardtop here consists of two halves that must be removed by hand and stored in the front boot.

Compared to the coupe, the roadster’s dry weight has increased by only 50 kg (to 1,575), so dynamic performance is not particularly affected. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 2.9 seconds (+ 0.1), to 200 km / h — 8.8 seconds. (+ 0.2), the maximum speed exceeds 350 kilometers per hour. In total, only 800 of these machines will be produced at a price of 387,000 euros excluding taxes.

As a result, the car managed to cover the 20.6-kilometer circle on the Nordschleife in 6 minutes and 44.97 seconds, setting a new record, leaving behind the Porsche 911 GT2 RS with its six mines and 47.3 seconds.

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ price is 349,116 euros (this is 517,770 dollars or about 27.3 million rubles excluding taxes), and only 900 copies will be produced in total, plus 63 cars will be made in a special version of SVJ 63 — in honor of the year the Italian company was founded.

Later, a similar roadster also appeared, and then the era of Aventador will come to a logical ending.
