Mitsubishi Outlander Evolution 2022.

The first renders of the new Mitsubishi Outlander Evolution sports crossover have been unveiled.

This year we learned that Mitsubishi’s sports division called Ralliart might be brought back to life.

And it means that modified versions of popular models of the brand can appear on the market.

Independent designers have shown, what appearance could get a sports crossover Mitsubishi Outlander Evolution.

We shall remind, Ralliart division appeared in 1983. It was responsible for release of Mitsubishi racing cars.

Over time, Ralliart began to refine on-road models and set up production of branded accessories.

Last year, the division was abolished because of financial problems. In May this year, there was talk that the Ralliart division is going to be revived.

And in August, information about modernized Outlander under the Ralliart brand appeared.

Moreover, such parket car, as rumor has it, will receive the name Evolution. Such name had «charged» versions of sedan Lancer produced till 2016.

On renders we see a crossover with expressive front part, the most noticeable element of which becomes a front bumper with a massive air intake.

The front fenders here are highlighted by air duct slots, and the rear bumper gets a wide contrasting insert with a diffuser and a pair of round exhaust outlets.

And also such crossover gets original wheel disks and lowered suspension.

In auto experts’ opinion, the most popular Outlander model will become the debut model that will receive Ralliart treatment.

By the way, besides it became known, that the manufacturer plans to return the name Evolution, which before was used for release of «charged» modifications of the sedan Lancer.

About what will be the appearance of Outlander in sports treatment it is not known yet. Also in a network it was not published any «spy» photos of the future crossover.

However, remembering what characteristics had the sport modifications of Mitsubishi brand, Russian designers decided to create renders of the upcoming novelty.

According to specialists, the front part of Outlander Ralliart will have air intakes in the bumper and on the hood lid. Stern of sporty Mitsubishi Outlander should get updated bumper where there will be contrast decorative insertion, additional diffuser and new spigots of exhaust system.

Also aluminum wheel disks of original design, which style reminds wheels of Lancer Evolution X, and understated suspension will add dynamism to the crossover’s look.

It is possible to build Outlander Evolution on the basis of plug-in hybrid Outlander PHEV that made its debut at the end of October.

Such crossover will receive a 2,4-liter petrol «atmospheric» engine capacity of 133 h.p. and a pair of electric motors with giving out 116 h.p. and 136 h.p. On one electric such hybrid will pass from 83 up to 87 kilometers.

It is possible to present sports Outlander Evolution in summer of the next year.
