Nissan Navara 2022: large pickup with off-road inclinations.
The Frankfurt Automobile Forum presented the interested public with a lot of bright new products, among which the large pickup Nissan Navara of 2022, which is already the third generation of the famous model, occupies a special place.

The updated car received the D23 index and pleasantly pleased those present with its bright appearance, high technology of control and comfort systems, as well as a very comfortable interior.

The restyling of the pickup will undoubtedly increase interest in it from representatives of small businesses, farmers, as well as lovers of outings and outdoor activities.

Exterior

Judging by the photo, the novelty will borrow some of the elements from another hit of the company — the X-Trail model, however, a significant part of the decor elements was developed specifically for the Nissan Navara 2022 model.

Among the conspicuous details, it is worth noting rounded body shapes that improve aerodynamic performance, a new relief, and also refreshed air intake systems and lighting equipment.

The front end of the new body looks particularly advantageous when compared to the competition. It is quite long and set high, but slightly tilted forward, which provides a good view of what is happening in front of the car.

The bonnet cover is equipped with smooth relief waves, and in front it passes into a decorative chrome trapeze of the main air intake, on the horizontal lamellas of which there is a large brand nameplate.

Along the edges of this structure are diamond-shaped headlights with stylish LED daytime running lights boomerangs.

The bumper of the pickup turned out to be ribbed, and in its embossed transitions there was a place for both round fog lights and for the slots of the reserve air intakes. The body kit ends with a small plastic protection.

The sides of the new model turned out to be quite standard and differ little from the previous generation.

The cockpit is quite streamlined and contains large steel-colored roof rails at the top. Immediately below them are side windows assembled in a strict figure in matte black edging.

All this is complemented by large mirrors and chrome door handles, as well as undulating transitions throughout the doors and fenders.

From below, all this rests against large circular wheel arches, between which there is a comfortable non-retractable mid-size footrest.

The all-terrain character of the pickup is emphasized by massive wheels with bright discs, high ground clearance and lean overhangs.

Finding something interesting from behind is already more problematic.

In the basic configuration, there will be a side board slightly decorated with relief and branded nameplates, folding downward, vertically oriented massive side lights on the struts, as well as a figured bumper decorated with polished aluminum inserts and containing an impromptu step to facilitate access to the luggage compartment.

All the exterior trim of the novelty in the aggregate puts it on a par with more prestigious and expensive pickups and, undoubtedly, can be included in its asset.

Interior

The presented version of the new Nissan Navar 2022 model year boasts improved finishing materials, including leather, fabrics, plastic and metal inserts, as well as significantly modernized multimedia equipment and comfortable seats, making any journey easy and enjoyable.

Control and management bodies

The front panel looks very massive and contains many useful elements: an instrument cluster with analog gauges and a bright, large trip computer display, an 8-inch multimedia system monitor, several horizontally oriented stylish air ducts, and an air conditioning control unit.

Beneath it all, you can find the imposing central tunnel with a technical section that includes about a dozen buttons and a small gear lever.

Then there are two medium-sized cup holders, several organizers, and a comfortable, padded armrest with a built-in refrigerator.

The appearance of the front of the car is complemented by a medium-sized steering wheel with large side spokes, on which auxiliary control buttons for the most important options are located.

Registration of seats

The car will be able to comfortably accommodate, if the equipment assumes the presence of a double cab, five adult passengers.

This is made possible by the use of new NASA profiling, soft filler and good skin materials. At the same time, the seats can be adjusted quite accurately with the help of electrical adjustments, as well as use heating, but the level of lateral support will definitely not please.

The back sofa, as shown by a test drive, is quite roomy, but all its functionality is limited to a folding center armrest. As for the rest, the interior is made quite decently and allows you to comfortably cover any distance.

Specifications

The considered generation Nissan Navara 2022 will receive a double four-door or one-and-a-half cab. The latter will be slightly narrower, shorter and lower than the «older» brother.

In this case, the frame «bogie» will get the same for both machines — from the previous generation.

The characteristics of motors for Europe will be slightly different from those with which the car will enter the Asian market.

So, a 2.3-liter diesel engine will receive 160 or 190 «horses» at the output. In this case, the buyer will be able to choose between a six-speed manual transmission and a 7-band «automatic».

The drive can also be selected: either full or only to the rear wheels. And all this — with a very solid ground clearance of 219 mm.

Running tests have shown that the car can easily reach speeds of up to 185 kilometers per hour and consumes no more than 7 liters of diesel fuel per 100 kilometers.

Options and prices

The starting price of the car will be 18.5 thousand dollars. For all additional options, you will need to pay about 5 thousand more units of the American currency.
