Skoda SuperB 2023.

The flagship model of the Czech concern — Skoda Superb should be updated in 2023, and more and more often spy photos of the next generation appear.

Experts urge to closely link the new styling and, in general, all expected changes in appearance and equipment of the Czech sedan with the new VW Passat.

According to the latest information, both models will be assembled at Volkswagen’s Bratislava plant, which could make them technically «related» even though the Germans may refuse to produce sedans and focus on producing station wagons, which would finally bury the Passat name project after a few years.

As for Skoda Superb 2023 model year, this car, in addition to the sedan and wagon, the liftback type bodies are tried.

Perhaps they will become the main in the lineup of available modifications, at least, it is hinted at by sketches of the new car that appeared in the Network.

It is reported that they are the first sketches of the new design of the Superb model, while the spy photos with camouflaged cars allegedly 2023 model year has nothing to do with the upcoming novelty and were used by the manufacturer only to test a number of onboard systems.

The updated Czech liftback can get rid of the manual «box», which is hinted at not only by the transition to automatic transmission of Passat wagons, but also the statement of Skoda CEO Thomas Schaefer that both Octavia and Superb should get basic packages in the form of PHEV rechargeable hybrids.

Here we should read between the lines that Skoda is in no hurry to expand the world market of electric cars, realizing quite reasonably that it will have much more success in less expensive segments.

Nevertheless, the Czech company has to put up with gradual transition of Europeans to «green» technologies.

Volkswagen’s parent company has been betting on electric cars for a long time and has already found a replacement for its Passat in the form of the Aero B EV sedan, which is due out in 2023.

The correctness of the company’s choice of direction is confirmed by successes of models ID.3 and ID.4.

However, Skoda is trying to keep up, therefore a year ago electric crossover Skoda Enyaq iV was presented.

It can be assumed that the full-fledged electric sedan Czech company will offer immediately after the European market will estimate Aero B EV and thus will give to understand whether it needs «green» Skoda Superb 2023 model year.
