Subaru Crosstrek 2022.

The first pictures of the updated Subaru Crosstrek/XV have appeared.

Journalists of Western magazines have published first photos of the next generation of the updated Subaru Crosstrek/XV crossover.

It seems the novelty has got replicas from Viziv Adrenaline Concept.

The Subaru Crosstrek, which is also known as the XV in some markets outside of North America, was updated slightly last year.

However, the current generation of the model is obsolete, as it has been on sale since 2017.

Given the five-year periods during which one generation of Subaru models is sold in the market, the crossover is ripe for a new generation.

However, Subaru has been a bit reticent about the next generation of its best-selling model.

Nevertheless, it looks like the third-generation model has been spotted on tests, and it’s already driving on U.S. roads.

It’s still wearing camouflage, but surprisingly, there are no false panels on it. This gives us a clearer picture of this high-slung hatchback.

The shape of the car is very similar to the current Crosstrek/XV, with its (relatively) upright windshield and sleek tailgate.

A closer look reveals a third rear window going up, just like the first and subsequent generations of this car.

The video also shows a pretty good shot of its C-shaped taillights, something Subaru has been putting on many of its models lately.

From the front, we can make out the shape of its headlights under the swirling camouflage. The headlights appear slim and «connected» to the grille.

Speaking of which, it seems that Subaru has resisted the temptation to give it the massive grille that many brands have suffered from.

If you look even closer and squint a bit, you can also see the shape of the Crosstrek / XV’s next-generation body cladding.

Expect it to be similar to those in the Wilderness and the all-new WRX.

Overall, there are some similarities to the Viziv Adrenaline concept shown at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Of course, this has been diluted for the production model.

There’s also a very brief glimpse of its interior. While we only see the top half of what appears to be an infotainment screen, we can expect a few things from it.

For starters, we wouldn’t be surprised if it’s available with a vertical infotainment screen like other higher-end Subaru models.

There’s also a good chance it will be similar to the WRX dashboard, albeit with a less sporty feel.
