The new Porsche Macan 2022.

Porsche has restyled the Macan crossover for the second time since the vehicle entered the market in 2014.

But now the manufacturer has decided not to limit itself to stylistic improvements, but to carry out a full-scale modernization, which may also affect the motor range.

The last series of photographs reveals the entire body of the new Macan and reveals some of the interior features.

The pictures presented show that the inside of the German model has remained practically unchanged. At the same time, the car lost some of the physical keys, which were replaced with touch buttons. It retained the same touchscreen built into the center console.

Also, the transmission tunnel remained unchanged, part of which with the gearshift lever goes at an angle with respect to the center console, due to which a kind of shelf is formed under it.

From the pre-reform model, a virtual instrument panel has passed to the novelty. However, the steering wheel is likely to be different.

The body has undergone subtle changes as part of the modernization. In particular, the manufacturer redesigned both bumpers, adding new air intakes to the front.

In addition, Porsche is expected to change the graphics of the LED optics. And on the side of the body, the comb, made of body metal, disappeared.

The shape of the body will be updated with a tilted roof at the rear, making the Macan resemble the larger Cayenne Coupe crossover, which premiered last spring.

The car will receive new key-type door handles, the same ones used on the aforementioned Taycan model.

The feed of the new Macan test samples is still hidden under a thick layer of camouflage, but it can be assumed that the design here will be inspired by Taikan.

This means that the crossover can get a narrow LED lamp across the entire width of the rear, as well as a massive contrasting insert in the bumper with a license plate niche located in it.

According to rumors, Porsche will also make changes to the engine range. At the same time, the crossover will retain the initial 2.0-liter turbocharged engine developing up to 242 hp. power.

And in its top-end modification, the same 2.9-liter supercharged unit will remain, which produces up to 434 hp.

This limited restyling is largely due to the fact that soon Porsche will release an all-electric Macan.

But the German electric car will debut a few months after the presentation of the German model with traditional internal combustion engines.

The main technical news is that the new Macan will be the brand’s first electric crossover. It will be built on the new PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform, which will also be used by other electric models from Porsche and Audi.

There is no confirmed data on the power plant yet, the Taycan electric car presented in Russia offers power from 530 (in the 4S version) to 761 hp. (Turbo S) and four-wheel drive.
The premiere of new items may take place next year.

Today in Russia prices for the current Macan start at 4,170,000 rubles (2.0 PDK, 252 hp). The GTS version with a 380-horsepower 2.9 V6 will cost at least 5,460,000 rubles.

At the top of the gamut is the Turbo modification with the same engine, boosted to 440 horsepower, such a car is estimated at 6,970,000 rubles. All versions have four-wheel drive.
