Porsche Macan 2022: a prestigious crossover with updated filling.

The German company Porsche does not often carry out the planned restyling of its hits, but if it happens, then customers will get a quality product.

A striking example of this is the Porsche Macan 2022. The crossover became even more stylish and aggressive, got new under-hood characteristics and updated interior, which is even more pleasant to be in.

The car will be worthy to compete with the brightest representatives of the class and, apparently, will not only retain the former fans, but also expand the circle of adherents of the brand.

In the photo is very difficult to see any major changes in the exterior of the machine, it can be explained by the fact that the old body looked very stylish and modern, and designers there was relatively little work.

However, the bumpers, relief and lighting equipment is refreshed a little, following the latest fashion trends.

Pretty recognizable is the streamlined muzzle of the new body.

Set at a medium height and quite compact, it begins with a heavily sloped windshield, turning into a rounded forward muscular hood cover with the signature relief edges.

The teardrop-shaped headlamps with high-quality LED fillings have been slightly redesigned, as has the rectangular air intake located one floor below.

It is integrated into the front apron, which contains two more slits on the sides, strips of LED daytime running lights, as well as a platform for the license plate.

Underneath is an aerodynamic insert, painted in the body color, and underneath is a powerful black plastic protective layer.

The profile of the Porsche Macan 2022 has retained its streamlined forms, emphasized by the semicircle of the window line in the black trim.

The relief here retains its smoothness at the top and sharp edges at the bottom, in the area of the sills and protruding wheel arches.

Between them there is a powerful decorative black plastic plate.

Complementing the look are huge wheels with bright rims, mirror drops on thin legs, as well as elegant door handles.

The body of the new model is made in the best crossover traditions. It begins with a thin, curved visor with a line of stoplights in the middle.

All this is covered by a small oval window, immediately below which the fifth door begins to expand significantly.

The most prominent detail here is the LED strip of brake lights, passing on the sides into full-fledged rear lighting units.

The bumper doesn’t look as formidable as the front one, most of its area is occupied by a black plastic diffuser, which has a place for the registration plate, several aerodynamic transitions and for four paired barrels of the exhaust system.

The interior of the new Porsche Macan 2022 model year also does not differ much from the previous generation.

The same high-quality plastic, leather, metals and alcantara are used in the trim.

True, the multimedia system has acquired a couple of new features, and chairs have become slightly more comfortable — this list of innovations is limited to this.

Controls and controls

The driver is welcomed by a branded small steering wheel with a round centrum and slightly protruding command buttons on the side spokes.

Immediately behind it is the traditional dashboard, where a special emphasis is placed on the tachometer and the on-board computer is displaced slightly to the right.

In the middle of the console, under the branded clock and air ducts, there is a large-screen command and entertainment center, and immediately below it — a number of physical buttons and the control unit for climate control.

Wide and imposing central tunnel, in addition to the transmission selector, contains a whole keyboard of technical buttons, hidden under the curtain organizer, as well as large cupholders.

This element ends with a powerful and pleasant to the touch armrest, which is equipped with an additional glove compartment inside.

Despite the rather spacious interior, the manufacturer decided not to add additional seats, leaving five seats.

But on each of them, trimmed with excellent leather and containing soft filling, a person of any build will comfortably fit.

Front row options include heating, ventilation, massage and fine-tuning with the help of electric drives.

In the back there are less interesting «plushkas», but even here the passengers will not be bored thanks to an autonomous multimedia station and a chic armrest, which can be safely called a mini-bar.

The trunk is quite traditional for a car of this class: in the camping state, the compartment is ready to take almost 500 liters of luggage, and with the folded rear row — three times more.

Technical Specifications

The dimensions of the new Porsche Macan 2022 do not differ much from the indicators of the previous generation: 4.73 meters — length, 1.92 meters — width and 1.62 meters — height. The car’s clearance is rather impressive as well: 20,5 centimeters.

As for the power plants, each modification of the car will receive its own engine of 2, 2.9 and 3 liters, respectively, with slightly increased capacity.

As the test drive has shown, the two-liter turbo engine gives 265 horses, and its senior colleagues with double turbo — 380 and 440 powers.

Each powertrain is combined with a seven-speed robotized transmission that transmits the motor’s efforts to all wheels.

Despite the impressive power, the car is quite economical, accelerates quickly and is able to cope with most road and off-road situations.

Options and prices

The updated German arrives at car dealers in three packages.

The starting price will be almost 5.4 million rubles, the price of the most expensive version is approaching the mark of 7.5 million units of domestic currency.
