So Toyota is preparing to break into the electric vehicle market.

Until now, this Japanese company has relied on hybrids and has made significant progress in this area: since 1997, more than 17 million Toyota gasoline-electric vehicles have been sold worldwide.

The interior is more traditional than the exterior. Drivers will sit behind the massive three-spoke steering wheel and gaze at the bowl-shaped digital instrument cluster.

The design looks a little odd, but Toyota explains that the low position of the dashboard and the meters above the steering wheel not only help enhance the vehicle’s sense of space, but also improve visibility to aid driving safety.

There is a floating center console and a free-standing infotainment system with a widescreen display.

They’ve added a glossy black finish, minimalistic controls and a jog dial. We also see a soft dashboard and a roomy second row.

The brand has confirmed that the concept is based on the e-TNGA platform and developed in collaboration with Subaru.

Instead of a steering wheel, a steering wheel is installed here, because a mechanism without a shaft allows you to set any gear ratio and steer without interception.
