Acura Integra 2022. A little over a week ago it was reported in the network that Japanese manufacturer Honda will resume production of the Integra.

And depending on the market where the car will be presented, the new Integra will be offered under Honda or premium Acura «name».

Immediately after the announcement of the Japanese novelty was made, the network began polling among motorists about what characteristics they think the Japanese model should have.

Among the fairly wide list of «wants» the most part of motorists highlighted the possibility of equipping the Acura Integra with manual transmission.

As it turned out the developers from Honda and Acura took into account the wishes of potential customers and offered manual transmission for their model.

In the video which was published a day before the Japanese developer explained that future Acura Integra will surely have 6-speed manual transmission.

This can be evidenced by the gear shift knob shown in the video, as well as the sound of the motor.

At the moment we can not judge about Acura Integra features fully. No official photos of the car have been shown in the network.

Earlier the manufacturer showed a teaser, which makes it possible to see that the «Japanese» will debut as a five-door liftback.

Also teaser suggests that the shape of the headlamp and taillights of Acura Integra will be close to TXL model.

It is known that the new Acura Integra will be based on the current version of the Honda Civic, and under the hood will be placed a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

Soon the manufacturer should share more details about the plans to revive the Integra model.

The new Acura Integra will get a manual transmission and most likely will be based on the Civic of the eleventh generation.

The name Integra will return to the Acura lineup only next year, so the company has nothing else to do but intrigue with teasers.

It is already known that the «fifth» iteration of the sports car will be a «premium-compact», with looks and temperament characteristic of the latest models of the brand.

One small detail will advantageously distinguish Integra from other cars — a manual gearbox.

Meanwhile, the opportunity to choose «manual» now the buyers of all last Acura — from initial ILX up to MDX are deprived.

But this type of transmission, also with six gears, as on the teaser, is offered for the hatchback Honda Civic.

According to rumors, revived Integra will be unified exactly with the Civic, that means it can have two motors to choose from: atmospheric 2.0 engine for 160 hp or 182 hp turbo four 1.5.

Though, there is a hope, that something more auxiliary, for example, the unit from Civic Type R will be under a hood of the novelty.

Thus, in Acura’s arsenal, there is also more suitable platform for the model, with a double wishbone suspension in front and a wishbone behind — the TLX, RDX and MDX are based on it.

Then as the power plant they can take a de-formed two-liter turbo-engine which develops 276 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque on TLX.

True, American journalists believe that such an outcome is unlikely, and photos of the prototype partially confirm it.

Well, while Acura is only preparing for the premiere of the Integra, the Celestial Empire fully declassified the model.

The GAC Honda company has reserved this name for another version of the Civic, and the cars practically do not differ from each other externally or technically.

As well as the Civic, the Chinese sedan has a «turbo four» 1.5 paired with a variator.
