Acura RDX 2022.

Acura RDX 2022: modified exterior and improved interior noise insulation.

In September twenty-first the premiere of the updated crossover Acura RDX 2022 model year took place.

Outwardly restyled version of the model can be recognized by a different front bumper with characteristic vertical inserts (as on the senior MDX).

All-terrain vehicle also received a thinner grille frame and rectangular exhaust pipes, although cars with sports-package A-Spec have round exhaust pipes.

Plus a body color palette was added to the model.

But the interior of the crossover remained the same, and of the innovations is worth noting except that the emergence of wireless support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Thus cars in specification A-Spec got a different steering wheel, which has a truncated bottom rim.

At the same time Acura RDX 2022 aims to please passengers with a higher level of acoustic comfort.

The developers managed to achieve this by improving noise insulation.

Japanese used different insulating material in the front doors and front panel.

Plus all-terrain vehicle got extra sound insulation in the front wings and new front windows.

On machines with the Advance Package extra noise insulation of the hood, center tunnel, rear doors and trunk has been strengthened.

Separately, we should note that the list of basic equipment of the RDX includes a system of active noise reduction.

It catches noise in the cabin with microphones, and then converts the signal and plays it through the speakers in antiphase.

This approach allows it to drown out extraneous sounds.

As well as the pre-reformed version, a special version PMC Edition is announced for the updated Acura RDX 2022.

Its circulation will make 200 copies, which will be assembled separately from the usual crossover — at the Performance Manufacturing Center factory in Ohio.

The modification will get bright blue body paint, though previously it was supposed to have an orange color.

Interior will be performed in black and white color with contrasting blue stitching.

By the way, the Acura NSX mid-engined coupe has the same body color and trim materials, which is assembled at the same plant.

In motion Acura RDX 2022 in the new body drives the former 2.0-liter «turbo four» of 276 hp, working in tandem with a ten-speed automatic.

Thus the idle speed of the engine has been reduced to 950 rpm (- 150) that again is called to increase the level of acoustic comfort.

It is possible to order the crossover both with front and all-wheel drive. In the latter case, the car is entitled to Super Handling AWD transmission, equipped with individual clutches to connect the rear wheels.

On restyled model the settings of driving electronics and electric brakes booster have been reviewed additionally.

Plus, the Japanese recalibrated the optional adaptive suspension, making the difference between the Comfort and Sport presets more noticeable.

Sales of the new Acura RDX in the North American market will start in November twenty-first.

There is no information about the cost of the updated model yet.
