Aiways U5 2022.

The Aiways U5 2022 electric SUV has received a new «working» version in Spain.

Such electric cars can boast an increased payload, the local media report.

The Aiways premiered in Europe last year, and in early 2022 the brand entered the Spanish market with a single, but very special offering.

It is the new Aiways U5 with spectacular design and advanced technology.

However, the Aiways U5 has so far had the same limitations as other electric models.

This is a low towing capacity, a drawback that the Asian brand has taken into account by offering interested parties a removable trailer hitch.

With this upgrade, the Aiways U5 became more practical.
Thanks to this, the Aiways U5 has a towing capacity that can reach 1,500 kg, which means that it can tow the same boat.

Also available for the electric car is a rear platform that can be adapted to fit a bike rack and can support a maximum weight of 100 kg.

If desired, the customer can install a roof rack with an aerodynamic design to reduce air resistance.
Aiways pointed out that this new equipment will not mean a big loss in maximum autonomy of 400 kg, which is provided by a 63 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

The charging speed will also not be affected by the new accessories: about half an hour to recover 30 to 80 percent of the energy.

The electric car for Spain also gets a special rear camera, which simplifies the hitching and unhitching process, and also makes maneuvering with a trailer easier.

The crossover boasts not only an interesting design, but also high-tech equipment.

By the way, there is already information not only about the package of available options, but also prices for the car.

In the Old World the main competitors for the model will be Volkswagen ID.4, KIA EV6 and Skoda Enyaq.

It is noteworthy that against some rivals, the Chinese crossover has an advantage in terms of price.

So, in the Spanish dealerships Aiways U5 will be offered in two variations with different levels of equipment.

We are talking about the versions Xcite and Prime. The first variant offers a fairly wide package of options.

This includes alloy wheels 17 inches, daytime running lights with LED filling, rain sensor, heated side mirrors and electrical settings.

In addition, the crossover gets an emergency call system, lane control unit, multiple airbags, emergency braking technology with pedestrian and bicyclist identification, cloth trim, USB ports, digital radio, adaptive cruise control, and more.

As for the Prime version, options such as a wireless smartphone power platform, heated and electrically adjustable first-row seats are offered here.

The luggage compartment door can be opened with a special sensor. The rear windows are tinted and the wheel rims are increased to 19 inches.

Recall that the Aiways U5 is an electric car, which offers a battery pack with 63 kWh and an electric motor with 204 horsepower. The autonomy of the crossover corresponds to 410 kilometers.

The cost of the model ranges from 40,900 to 43,900 euros (3,583,000-3,845,000 rubles).
