The French Alpine A110 2022 sports car is now 300 hp.

The Alpine A110 2022 sports car introduces new features and a more radical version with 296 hp, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.

After several lightly camouflaged prototypes were spotted in Germany late last summer, the predictions came true.

Secretly Alpine has been working on the 2022 Alpine A110 range, announced just yesterday.

Unveiled just now, some four years after the modern sports car went into production at the Dieppe plant in France, it brings several new additions to the entire line, consisting of A110, A110 GT and A110 S versions.

In Russia, the Alpine A110 cannot be officially purchased.

In the UK, the price of the updated sports car starts at £49,905 (5 million rubles, according to the current exchange rate), and Alpine hopes that the restyling will help keep the car competitive with the Porsche 718 Cayman and Audi TT.

The entry-level A110 comes with the same mid-mounted 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, 249-horsepower gasoline engine used with the Renault Megane RS, paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.

The GT and S variants have a more powerful version of the powertrain that develops 296 hp and 340 Nm of torque, which is enough for the A110 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.

Top speed is electronically limited at 250 km/h for the A110 and A110 GT, 260 km/h for the S, although the top speed can reach 275 km/h with the optional Aero Kit.

Not much has changed in the exterior styling: the updated Alpine A110 has retained its sporty genes. Alpine’s goal was to carry over the retro lines of the A110 from the sixties, as they make up a large part of the car’s appeal.

The biggest difference is the new rear antifender of the top-end Model S. The color palette has also been improved.

The flagship A110 S gets black chrome letters on the outside and an additional «S» badge, while GT logos adorn the A110 model of the same name.

The most affordable A110 comes with an Alpine chassis like the GT, while the S boasts a special suspension setup.

Instead of focusing on cosmetic repairs, Alpine has spent its time on the A110’s hardware and a new multimedia platform based on Android Auto technology.

The infotainment system has a 7-inch touchscreen, a customizable interface, «Apple CarPlay» and «Android Auto» connectivity features, as well as a WiFi Internet module that lets you get updates wirelessly, and voice recognition.

The new screen is also optionally available with the Alpine Telemetrics system, standard on the A110 S and optional on other trims, which can display important vehicle information (such as boost pressure, transmission temperature, engine speed, available power, steering angle and acceleration) as well as track driver performance.

Standard equipment for the entry-level A110 includes 17-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, 296-millimeter Brembo brakes and calipers painted Charcoal Black.

A distinctive detail: this version is the only one without a sports exhaust. Inside, customers will find a new infotainment system, as well as adjustable sports seats trimmed in black microfiber and leather with gray stitching.

The A110 GT features a sportier and more elegant look, special gray badges on the tailgate and door sills, as well as blue Brembo brake calipers and 18-inch alloy wheels painted in black blended with chrome.

The sporty A110 is designed to be a little easier to use over long distances, so it comes with slightly more comfortable «Comfort» leather seats upholstered in black or brown leather with blue stitching, a premium Focal audio system, and features like front and rear parking sensors.

This model features the Park Assist driver assistance system with a rearview camera. Prices for this version start at 59,355 pounds sterling (5.95 million rubles).

The top-of-the-line A110 S costs from £59,955 (6 million rubles). It has received a host of performance enhancements that are designed to make the car sharper on the track.

Additions include 18-inch alloy wheels, a stiffer and lower suspension with different geometry, new anti-roll bars, 320-millimeter Brembo larger-diameter brakes with orange-painted calipers and a sports exhaust system.

The model also gets an optional aerodynamic package, which includes a new splitter and a huge rear anti-wing, with both elements made of carbon fiber.

Buyers can choose a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 half-skid 215/40 R18s at the front and 245/40 R18s at the rear as add-ons to increase traction.

In addition, a new two-tone exterior paint scheme is offered, with a gloss black roof to accentuate the new «fire orange» body color.

Inside, the atmosphere is also different and more radical with Sabelt Sport adjustable seats mounted on two visible rails and upholstered in a combination of microfiber and black leather with orange stitching, orange seat belts and harnesses.

Both the GT and S can be completed with the microfiber trim package, which includes steering wheel trim, headliner, center console and dashboard upholstery in suede material.

The A110 GT and A110 S are now also available with a carbon fiber roof instead of the standard metal one.

This improvement reduces their curb weight by 1.9 kg, and the mid-mounted model’s custom aluminum platform helps reduce the weight to 1,102 kg.
