The Aston Martin DB6 will be turned into an electric car with a price tag of more than $1 million.

The transformation of the iconic Aston Martin DB6 into an electric car will start in 2023 and will cost more than $1 million, or 71,842,500 rubles. The car will look exactly like the original.

Lunaz is a British brand specializing in converting classic British cars into electric cars.

Its latest project is the Aston Martin DB6, which will no longer be equipped with the original inline six.

Representatives of the company say that the price for the electric version of the Aston Martin DB6 exceeds the mark of 1 million dollars or 71,842,500 rubles, and deliveries to customers will begin in the third quarter of 2023.

If the customer wants, the company can also make electric cars out of the Aston Martin DB4 and DB5.

Lunaz will completely disassemble each DB6 for a complete restoration to competitive quality.

From the outside, it is impossible to immediately tell that this is an Aston Martin with a conversion to an electric car.

Customers can choose between left- or right-hand drive. The team keeps the original engine and transmission in case the future owner wants to return the car to its original specification.

The company provides transmission specifications for the electric DB6. It promises that «the car combines fast initial acceleration with the requirements of a classic car.»

Like previous Lunaz models, this one has a battery capacity of 80 to 120 kWh. The estimated range will be 410 kilometers.

Lunaz is also updating the brakes, suspension and steering to match the new electric powertrain.

The company may also add modern amenities such as air conditioning, navigation and an infotainment system.

Eco-conscious customers can even order such things as carpets made from recycled fishing nets and other eco-friendly materials.

The iconic Aston Martin DB6 is the latest British classic to receive an electric powertrain from Silverstone.

The eco-friendly version of the car was presented by Lunaz Design.

The Aston Martin DB6 had to sacrifice its 4.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine for a Lunaz modular battery pack with 80-120 kWh and a range of up to 255 miles.

Although no exact engine performance figures are given, the 80-kilowatt system on the Rolls-Royce Phantom V can produce 375 hp and 699 N*m.

The Aston Martin will probably get similar numbers. The car is also equipped with a first level battery system with CCS fast charging function.

Also the manufacturer has upgraded the brakes, suspension and steering to modern standards.

The exterior of the model has not changed. The interior has also remained true to the original specification.

However, modern navigation and a new air conditioning system were added by Lunaz Design.

The electric Aston Martin DB6 will be released in limited edition. Its price will be 733,000 pounds sterling, which is equivalent to 61.5 million rubles.

The first deliveries of the model are expected in the third quarter of 2023.

The Aston Martin Green paint (a sort of reference to the color British Racing Green) is hand-applied in 21 steps, creating seven coats and a striking shaded pattern reminiscent of the original Aston logo, as well as the diamond-embroidered leather seats in so many of the brand’s modern sports cars.
