Audi A8 L 60 2022 — 2023. The restyled 2022 Audi A8 is limited to minimal changes.

At the beginning of November twenty-first year the Germans have presented an updated sedan Audi A8 2022, as well as its «heated» modification S8.

There are not many changes, and most of them were made to the exterior.

Outwardly, the new body of the Audi A8 2022 is easy to recognize from the front, where there is a different headlamp with an additional corner at the bottom.

The bumpers have been subjected to revision, the grille became wider and got a different pattern, there are new variants of wheels.

Also the flagship sedan can be now ordered in S line package, which implies a more aggressive design of bumpers and a grid in the grille reminiscent of that of Audi S8 (D5).

As before, the car is offered in standard and lengthened versions with extended wheelbase.

Headlights have not only changed the shape, but also the content: in place of the LED matrix came new spotlights — for changing the shape of the light beam here are responsible for 1.3 million micromirrors in each headlight.

This system is able to «draw» different cues directly on the roadway.

Rear lights now made on the basis of organic light-emitting diodes (OLED), providing a more uniform and bright light, and to order the two versions of the drawing (although they differ from each other minimally).

For extra charge the car is offered with extended chrome decorations or a «black package».

Interior of the new Audi A8 2022 remained almost unchanged. The only thing that could be mentioned is revised trim combination and optional inserts from microfiber on door panels.

The car is equipped with the new-generation MIB3 media system, but the two screens on the center console and even graphics remain unchanged.

For rear passengers are available 10.1-inch Full HD monitors and matrix lights.

The engine lineup for the new Audi A8 2022 has lost the eight-cylinder diesel (this happened last year before the restyling), and the top unit W12 never showed up.

It was expected to be installed on the most luxurious A8L Horch modification, but in the end this never happened.

Standard engines took over from the pre-reform version — a gasoline turbo V6 3.0 TFSI (340 hp) and V8 4.0 TFSI (460 hp), and a turbo diesel V6 3.0 TDI with 286 «horses».

Except that power of the hybrid modification 60 TFSI e (three-liter turbo six with an electric motor) was increased from 449 to 462 hp.

All of the above engines are paired with an eight-band automatic transmission, permanent all-wheel drive quattro and complemented by a 48-volt starter generator.

As for the S8 version, it still has under the hood a 4.0-liter gasoline V8 TFSI, developing 571 hp. (goes from a place to a hundred in 3.8 seconds).

Already in base the new Audi A8 D5 has an air suspension, and for extra charge an active electromechanical suspension with the same pneumatic cylinders and fully controlled chassis are offered.

Start of sales of the model in Germany is scheduled for December with prices starting at around 99,500 euros. Deliveries of restyled «eight» in Russia are planned for 2022.
