Audi Q9 will hit the market in 2020: what to expect?

Audi, as always lagging behind the two main competitors in the Big Three, is still not going to give up and give up on fate. We are talking about the most prestigious segment in which the “four rings” are not yet available — the sections of the top off-road vehicles, in which German auto companies began to struggle, and as a result, the whole world picked up luxury fever.

In the highest echelon from car manufacturers from Ingolstadt, after Mercedes-Benz with their GLS and BMW X7 models, an equally noteworthy SUV — Audi Q9 — will appear in the segment. He will largely repeat the previously presented models from competitors: as large, as roomy, it will have a lot of leather and veneer from the most noble species of trees, as well as technology, but what is clearly different from the new Audi is its style.

The first unique details about the Audi Q9.

The design is recognizable and close to the heart of all car lovers from Ingolstadt. And if rendering photos of the model were made almost a year ago, then the exact characteristics of the SUV are still not enough. The first of them appeared only the other day.

So, the Q9th will become even larger and longer compared to the Q7 model. Thus, the total length will be under 5.2 meters. Note that the second-generation Audi Q7 is almost 150 mm shorter.

Of course, due to the length, the Q9th version of the model will receive three rows of seats and even greater opportunities for comfortable movement of a large family over long distances. The only thing that Audi engineers have not decided at the moment is the voluminous rear axle, spoiling the whole picture. He “eats” so much space in the back that he will probably have to redo it, arranging it in a horizontal plane, thereby reducing its height.

Also, according to the latest data, the Audi Q9 will acquire a top version of the RS. The SUV will receive at least a 600-horsepower engine that can give its users not only comfortable, but also quick movement from point A to point B.
It is expected that the Audi Q9 will cost about 80,000 euros (5.8 million rubles). The release of the model is scheduled for the end of 2020.
