Aurus Senat S600: Executive sedan for $ 18 million. At the Moscow Motor Show 2018, the premiere of the executive sedan Aurus Senat S600 was held. A car was prepared for the exhibition with a body painted in an unusual maroon shade and upholstered beige leather interior.

Outside, the new Aurus Senate S600 (photo and price) looks quite majestic, reminiscent of the Rolls-Royce Ghost in front and the Bentley Flying Spur on the side and back. The car is distinguished by a large grille with vertical fins and a chrome trim, as well as rectangular blocks of headlights with diode sections.

The profile is noteworthy for a wide rear pillar, wheels of strict design, as well as chrome decor in the design. The taillights on the sedan seem small for such a massive stern, but on the whole fit into the concept quite harmoniously.

But inside the Aurus Senat S600 evokes associations with the Mercedes S-Class W222, especially with regard to a similar-style steering wheel and two large displays on the front panel. The left one is responsible for displaying virtual devices, and the right one is reserved for the graphics of the multimedia system.

An analog clock is located between the vents of the ventilation system in the center, and the round-shaped climate regulators are equipped with screens to which the selected temperature is displayed. The central tunnel has a deep armrest box, a pair of cup holders, two washers and an automatic transmission selector.

The interior of the Aurus Senate S600 sedan is upholstered in high-quality leather (Ryazan), and the decoration uses a natural tree with open pores. A pair of monitors are located on the backs of the front seats for the services of the rear passengers, and a climate control unit is integrated in the second row armrest.

The car was based on a single modular EMP platform with a rear four-link suspension with one integral lever (a similar solution was used on the BMW 7-series F01). The power plant is only one so far — the Aurus Senat 2020 drives a 4.4-liter V8 turbocharged V8 rated at 598 hp, which is assisted by an electric motor powered by a high-voltage traction battery.

This engine was developed by NAMI specialists together with Porsche engineers, and it is paired with a 9-band automatic transmission of the Russian company KATE. Four-wheel drive on the machine is implemented with a chain in the razdatka and an electronically controlled electromagnetic clutch responsible for connecting the front axle.

The overall dimensions of the Senate, as well as the dynamic characteristics of the model have not yet been specified. Preliminary acceptance of orders for serial copies fell on February 2019. True, the entire quota of 120 cars for the nineteenth year was sold back in August, and in the fall it became known that all cars were sold for the 2020th.

The exact cost of the car was announced at the end of August two thousand and nineteenth during the opening of the first showroom of the company in Moscow — the price of the Senat S600 was at least 18 million rubles. For an extra charge, the “Cabinet” package is available with two separate chairs on the second row, as well as a minibar and cup holders with the ability to cool or warm drinks.

And on the basis of a regular sedan, an armored limousine L700 was created — now this one is used as a vehicle for the head of state. Later, for an extended four-door, they promise to prepare an 860-horsepower V12 engine with four turbines, but so far it is not ready.

Recall that work on the Cortege project began back in 2012, about 40 billion rubles were allocated from the budget for the development of cars. Later, the Aurus brand was created for the line of cars, and it was decided to name all models in honor of the Kremlin towers.

Aurus hasn’t brought its Arsenal minivan to the exhibition, its sales are not planned yet, and the presentation of the Komendant SUV should be held at the Moscow Motor Show 2020. The manufacturer also plans to create a “national off-road vehicle” and an electric motorcycle, but first we have to create a dealer network and solve issues with an increase in production.

Currently, the production of cars is adjusted at the NAMI facilities, the limit of which is 150 cars per year, while the company has already collected more than 600 orders (data for October 2019). Production at Ford Sollers should increase annual output to five thousand, but this will not happen until 2021.
