Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase 2023: the luxury crossover gets a long wheelbase version.

Crossover Bentley Bentayga got a new modification «Extended Wheelbase», the name of which is not difficult to guess that we are talking about the long wheelbase version of the model.

Outwardly it is possible to distinguish the extended all-terrain from the usual one not only by more solid sizes. It also has bigger doors of the second row.

Plus the car has a Vertical Vane Grille (as in Flying Spur sedan) and stylish 22-inch wheels.

The latter can be ordered in polished version. As for the interior, the increased wheelbase adds more space in the second row: now even a tall NBA basketball player can be seated comfortably in the back.

We know that such a crossover can be ordered as a five-and four-seat version with a central console between the seats on the second row, while please the passengers also designed the rear seats Bentley Airline Seat.

The latter are offered for a surcharge and, according to the British, are the most advanced seats ever offered in the automobile industry.

In particular, they have the widest range of electric adjustments (in 22 directions).

In Relax mode, the backrest can flip back up to 40 degrees, allowing passengers to lie down and take a nap.

The developers have provided a special touchscreen to adjust them.

In addition to heating and ventilation, the Bentley Airline Seat also has a kind of «climate control» (a first in the automobile industry).

In other words, they are equipped with sensors that monitor temperature and humidity, after which the electronics adapts the climate to the individual passenger.

Also the armchairs have numerous sensors. The latter monitor the pressure in six different zones, using the received information for micro-adjustments of settings to ensure the most comfortable seating.

Other features of the extended EWB modification include heated tailgate and central armrests.

On the door cards you can see the special diamond-shaped patterns of the optional Bentley Diamond Illumination system. By clicking on them, you can change the color of the ambient illumination.

In addition, the British have tried to improve the already high quality of the Bentayga’s finishes.

For example, in the lengthened version appeared thin metal plates (0,07 mm), trimmed with wooden veneer.

Plus the developers changed the lozenge stitching on the seats. As for features, the Bentley Bentayga Extended Wheelbase 2023 has a wheelbase of 3,175 mm (+ 180).

The crossover is powered by a standard 4.0-liter V8 rated at 550 hp (700 Nm).

With this engine the car can accelerate from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.6 seconds.

The top speed of the stretched version is 290 km/h. Bentley expects the EWB version to account for up to 45% of all its sales.

The cost of the crossover has not yet been announced. At dealers the first cars should appear in the second half of the twenty-second.
