The Flying Spur Hybrid sedan is the most fuel-efficient Bentley in the brand’s history.

The plug-in hybrid V6 powertrain serves as an alternative to the V8 and W12 engines for environmentally conscious motorists.

The electrified version of the Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid 2023 luxury sedan is officially recognised as the cleanest and most efficient model in Bentley’s history.

According to WLTP measurements, average CO2 emissions are limited to 75 g/km, an all-time record for Bentley and lower than that of a conventional supermini.

WLTP also estimates the electric car has a range of 41 km thanks to its 18 kWh lithium-ion battery, which can be recharged in just 2.5 hours.

The Flying Spur also offers an impressive combined range of 805 km with a full tank and a fully charged battery.

This exceeds Bentley’s earlier estimate of more than 700 km. That’s enough range to drive from London to Frankfurt, Germany, without refueling or stopping.

The plug-in hybrid powertrain consists of a 2.9-liter V6 gasoline engine and one electric motor with a total output of 536 hp and 750 Nm.

This is slightly less than the 542 hp twin-turbo V8, but enough to accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.

Other markets, including China, will be available soon. The Flying Spur is the second model to get a hybrid setup after the Bentayga.

Bentley plans to expand the hybrid option to its entire lineup by 2024.

Beginning in 2025 and over the next five years, Bentley will introduce five all-electric models before becoming a carbon-neutral, electric-only brand by 2030.
