BMW 3-Series (G20) 2023.

BMW 3-Series (G20) 2023 is a sedan with an updated body and advanced optics.

The developers of the German company BMW decided to perform a restyling procedure for the model BMW 3-Series G20.

It was first presented in 2018, so it was the turn of planned changes.

Designers together with the designers have given the novelty a new exterior appearance and radically revised the interior layout.

Appearance

In recent years, the company has developed a new corporate styling and among its main aspects:

Making the radiator grille excessively large relative to the vertical.
Massive implementation of double-deck headlights.

Contrary to the first criterion, the creators of the «three» remained faithful to the classic performance.

The radiator grille is also split into two sections, but only the «nostrils» instead of lengthening, are a little wider.

They received borders with edging and include twin vertical lamellae.

The configuration of the headlights became simpler. Lintels at the bottom are gone, and the shape of the running lights has changed.

Instead of the old Latin «L» now Cyrillic «G». All the headlights are LED.

The bumpers were changed both in front and rear. The front one has changed shape of side vents.

The stern bumper got more muscle. The T-shaped inserts are in the past.

Black side window moldings are standard, chrome trim requires extra charge.

The optional M Sport package includes a rather large air intake on the front bumper, as well as a pair of raised vertical cutouts in the form of fangs.

Another version of the M Sport Pro offers extended dark décor, tinted optics, and brake calipers painted red.

By default, the car is put on 17-inch alloy wheels instead of the former 16.

Perhaps many car enthusiasts will not notice a major change in the exterior, which is not the case for ardent fans who follow the novelties, including owners of cars from the pre-styling period.

Interior and a complete set

As already noted at the very beginning — inside the car with the G20 body, potential owners expect large-scale changes.

The first thing you can pay attention and praise the developer — an advanced concept of the driver’s seat with one large «TV» for two displays:

A modern digital instrument cluster — 12.3″;
touchscreen multimedia — 14.9″.

All of this is hidden under a common glass surface, and without a visor.

Charged «triplets» will also cushion all this, though a full-fledged upgrade is still expected.

Placement of such a big monitor required to make changes to the architecture of the front panel.

In particular the air deflectors are changed. Analog controls, including a separate climate control panel are also a thing of the past. All functionality is adjusted by the multimedia.

A three-zone climate system with voice control is available starting from the base version.

The classic gear shift (joystick) has been replaced by a compact washer.

Technical Specifications

The powertrain lineup has remained the same — there are both gasoline (with the index i) and diesel (d) engines of different variations.

In addition to all units the manufacturer has provided a starter-generator for 48 V, working on a technology «start-stop».

All 318s have only rear drive axle, while 340s are cars with all-wheel drive xDrive system. Intermediate variants allow a choice of drive type.

Also, the designers left the mechanics and now all models, regardless of the type of engine are exclusively equipped with an 8-speed «automatic». There is no more choice here.

Competitors .

The BMW 3-Series must be by definition better than its direct rivals, not only in appearance, but also technically.

In the automobile market the BMW G20 will have to compete with worthy rivals:

It is impossible to say unequivocally that BMW 3-Series G20 2023 model year is the most beautiful car due to individual preferences of each potential buyer.

Manufacturers also have their own design philosophy. But together with this, comparing the novelty of 2023 with the competitors, it is a sin to deny the obvious.

The new car is characterized by notes of aggressiveness, which is popular with a wide audience.

Release date and prices

European countries are already accepting orders. At home the updated models will cost 43 900 euros. If translated into rubles, it will cost about 2.6 million. Deliveries are scheduled for July this year.

At the moment the assembly process of sedans of the third family is set up in several places:

Germany.
Mexico — for export to North and South America.
China.

The station wagons are only assembled at the local plant. Specifically, the 3 Series at the production facilities in Leipzig.
