BMW XM Label Red 2023.

The first photo of the BMW XM crossover in the top version Label Red is published.

The other day the Bavarians presented the «charged» hybrid crossover BMW XM, and now the first official photo of the top version of the model, which will receive the prefix «Label Red» has appeared in the network.

Outside the flagship modification can be recognized by numerous red accents.

Rim of the grille and side windows, as well as inserts in the wheel rims are made in this color.

However, if desired, the customer can order the car with a less garish decor (package «Shadow Line»), where these elements will be simply black.

There are no images of the Label Red’s interior yet, but it’s clearly decorated in black and red style.

Thus, the front sport seats with red headrests can be seen through the tinted windows.

As well as a usual variant of the model, the top version BMW XM Label Red 2023 will receive a hybrid power unit on the base of a 4,4-liter twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor.

However, here, its total output will be brought to 745 hp and 997 Nm, which will allow the five-meter automobile to accelerate from a place to a hundred in about 3,0 seconds.

If the performance figures proved to be true, the novelty is a potential contender for the title of the most powerful hybrid crossover in the world.

On the market this version should appear in 1923.

The top version of the Label Red sports crossover BMW XM will hit the world market next fall and will cost from $185,000.

The BMW XM is the first plug-in hybrid crossover from the sports division of BMW M GmbH, it premiered on September 28 and the main focus of public attention was on the unusual design, opinions about it vary widely, not everyone likes it.

Technical interior of the XM, in turn, surprised many of its triviality, especially against the background of a very sophisticated design of the first hybrid from Mercedes-AMG.

The only electric motor in the BMW XM is implanted in an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and works in tandem with a 4.4-liter gasoline V8 biturbo engine, the maximum combined output of the power plant is 653 hp and 800 Nm. The standard BMW XM accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 s, with a top speed of 270 km/h.

As part of the premiere of the BMW XM was immediately announced its top version Label Red, but its first images appeared in the web with a delay, and for some reason foreign media submit them as a leak, although at the time of our publication, a photo of BMW XM Label Red was available on the corporate website of BMW M GmbH.

It also says that the output of the Label Red powertrain will be increased to 748 hp and 1,000 Nm, which means that the top-end BMW XM claims to be the most powerful production SUV in the world.

The reigning champion is the Ferrari Purosangue (725 hp), followed by the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat (720 hp) and the Aston Martin DBX707 (707 hp).

There may be even more powerful crossovers on the world market by the time the BMW XM Label Red comes out, so it’s not certain that the Bavarian will be able to get on the throne at least for a while.

The first photos show that the Label Red version won’t differ much from the regular BMW XM in terms of design, but it can be easily identified by the red Toronto Red inserts in the signature nostrils, the side perimeters of the glazing and the special design wheel rims.

In addition, the XM nameplates will be filled with red. The interior will also receive a generous red décor.

The regular BMW XM will cost from $159,000 (production will start in December in the U.S., sales will start this spring), the Label Red version from $185,000.

For comparison, we shall say that top hybrid Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe (680 hp, 3,8 s up to «hundred») costs in the USA from 173,800 dollars, petrol Cayenne Turbo GTS (640 hp, 3,3 s up to «hundred») — from 188,700 dollars.

The latter is notable for setting a lap record on the Nürburgring North Loop in the SUV class. I wonder if the BMW XM Label Red will be able to beat it.
