Cadillac is testing a three-row electric SUV. Cadillac XT6 next generation.

This novelty hints at replacing the current Cadillac XT6 with an electric car and may debut later this year, and then go on sale in 2024.

Photo spies snapped pictures of Cadillac’s new camouflaged all-electric SUV prototype being tested in snowy conditions, indicating an upcoming production model.

The dimensions of the three-row crossover are between the XT6 and the Escalade.

Sources indicate that it will serve as an electric vehicle replacement for the former, not the latter.

The body of the SUV is completely covered with camouflage film and equipped with temporary lighting fixtures.

However, its Cadillac character is evident from the outline of the emblem on the tailgate.

The placement of the lighting fixtures follows the brand’s styling language and is very similar to earlier Cadillac prototypes, including the compact electric car we spotted last year.

The prototype appears to be smaller than the Escalade electric car, suggesting it could replace the XT6.

The SUV shares styling cues with the Escalade, such as a flat window line and a long rear end with additional lighting fixtures on the sides of the rear windshield, similar to the Range Rover.

The rear side windows are closed, but the long wheelbase, high roof and rear seat arrangement suggest a three-row interior layout.

We also got a glimpse of the digital cockpit, which is similar to the Lyriq and could be the same 33-inch 9K curved display found in the facelifted 2024 Cadillac XT4.

Although the SUV’s hood is quite long, the completely enclosed grille and lack of an exhaust pipe suggest a zero-emission powertrain.
