Chery Tiggo 8 PROe+ 2023. Chery is bringing to Russia a very economical hybrid crossover.
The economical modification will get the Tiggo 8 — it will consume only a liter of fuel per 100 kilometers.

Chery has launched sales of the Tiggo 8 crossover with a hybrid DHT transmission in some regional markets.

Chery has announced that the hybrid Tiggo 8 is entering foreign markets, and will make its way to Russia as early as next year.

But the first country for the model will be Brazil, where the crossover will appear under the name Tiggo 8 Pro e+.

The company notes that this car has a peculiarity: unlike classic hybrid transmissions with two engines, it uses architecture that allows the use of an internal combustion engine and electric motors independently of each other.

The brand’s customers in Brazil will be the first to test the new model.

On this export market the hybrid version of the CHERY Tiggo 8 will be known under the name Tiggo 8 PROe+.

The first hybrid Chery will reach Russian car market, but it will happen only in 2023.

This is the date called by the press service of the brand. The model architecture of the future Chery cars includes three-engine hybrids with mono and all-wheel drive.

The DHT system consists of three engines. One is a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and two electric motors.

A three-speed transmission is responsible for the torque transmission.

Classic hybrids with a couple of engines can’t boast such flexible driving ability: Chery’s DHT transmission uses the engine and electric motors independently of each other.

The hybrid setup includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a pair of electric motors.

Chery reveals only the torque of the export version — it will be 510 Nm.

Nine operating modes are claimed: single-engine/double-engine drive, range extender, parallel, direct drive, single/dual-engine energy recovery, charging while driving and others.

The brand offered customers nine high-performance modes of operation at once.

Plus, while driving, the control system selects the optimal operating gear in real time.

On electricity alone, the crossover will be able to cover about 100 kilometers.

In mixed mode, the hybrid parkcar consumes a liter of fuel per hundred kilometers.

The hybrid unit consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and a pair of electric motors.

To accelerate to 100 km/h the car spends only 7 seconds. The current Chery model range for our country consists of crossovers Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 8 Pro.

In addition, the models of premium sub-brand EXEED — TXL, VX and LX — are available for purchase in Russia.
