General Motors has relatively recently announced that it intends to do away with internal combustion engines.
This means that the new 2024 Chevrolet Blazer will be completely electric.
Little is known about the American model today. But independent designers were able to recreate the exterior of the new Blazer.
Judging by the renders, the crossover will be in the style of the latest Chevrolet brand models.
In particular, the American novelty will get a sporty body with an elongated front end.
Here is expected appearance of compact LED optics, connected with a decorative inset.
At the front, Chevrolet engineers may place a huge air intake, which gives the crossover a more aggressive look.
The rear end of the body is designed in the usual style.
At the same time, the novelty has got original optics, made in the form of short and long LED stripes.
Moreover, the electric Blazer can get door handles with electric drive.
The official debut of the American novelty should take place in spring 2023.
The basis for the future Blazer will be branded Ultium platform, created by General Motors for electric cars.
The American novelty, probably, will be released in modifications with one and two motors.
And in the second case, the total capacity of both units can reach 580 hp.
The GMC Hummer EV has already been built on this platform, which is equipped with a three-engine unit.
The manufacturer is unlikely to use it in the more compact Blazer EV, so the American cross is expected to get one or two electric motors, with the latter option potentially offering up to 580 hp and an all-wheel drive system.
It is possible that Chevrolet will offer different versions of the Blazer EV including the sporty RS.
Despite such enviable characteristics, the electric Chevrolet Blazer should be affordable car.
In favor of this speaks the desire of the American company to democratize the prices of electric cars.
According to rumors, the initial version of the crossover will cost $35,000.
