American manufacturer General Motors introduced a new version of its large SUV the day before.

We are talking about the Chevrolet Tahoe 2023 in the RST Performance Edition.

Its main distinguishing feature is the forced engine.

As you know, the current version of the SUV has been produced since 2020. Earlier in his line was already «charged» modification RST.

However, now the manufacturer has managed to achieve even better capabilities from the 6.2-liter motor installed on the Tahoe.

Earlier it produced 426 horsepower and 623 N*m of torque.

Now the specialists have managed to increase these figures up to 439 hp and 643 N*m, respectively.

This unit is paired, as before, with an automatic 10-speed transmission.

The improved performance figures have allowed Tahoe to achieve impressive performance in terms of speed.

Now it accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.78 seconds. And its top speed is 200 km/h.

In addition to adjusting the power capabilities of the SUV, the manufacturer has also provided a special «package» of improvements.

We are talking about the installation of new springs and shock absorbers, as well as even better stability stabilizer.

Also this version will have lowered front and rear suspension by 10 and 20 mm, respectively.

Another improvement is the installation of special Firestone Firehawk Pursuit tires and Brembo brake system.

Inside the car will appear sports pedals, heated steering wheel and rear seats, adaptive cruise control, as well as several additional electronic assistants.

The special edition, announced as the fastest and most powerful Tahoe, hides under the hood a 6.2-liter 433-horsepower V8 engine equipped with intake and exhaust systems from Chevrolet Performance.

The final cost of this SUV version is 79 thousand dollars.

With such power plant for acceleration up to a hundred Tahoe spends 5.78 seconds, and its maximum speed reaches a mark in 200 km/h.

And a number of components are borrowed from Tahoe PPV, which is popular among American police officers.

Also the new truck received improved Brembo brakes, bigger brake discs and tuned chassis. All-wheel drive is available. Transmission is 10ACP.

Tahoe RST Performance Edition has sport pedals, black «RST» badge on the tailgate and Luxury package.

The latter includes a heated, power steering wheel, heated second-row seats and a power-folding third row, as well as a rich set of useful driving assistants.

For the Performance Edition package, you will have to pay $8,525. Tahoe RST 2023 models with a 6.2-liter V8 will get it.

The novelty will be on the assembly line in the fourth quarter, and deliveries should start after that.
