Details about the medium-sized all-terrain vehicle under the brand name Fengguang from Dongfeng have become known.
The novelty is presented with a hybrid unit, which has a plug-in module.
Sales of the crossover will start, according to the latest data, in the first quarter of next year.
Visually the car looks quite simple, and the most spectacular component of the image, perhaps, has become the radiator grille of large size.
The drawing is formed by dot matrix elements, and the originality of the module is emphasized by the presence of Skyline LED strip, which makes Dongfeng Fengguang E5 2023 crossover recognizable.
The logo, formed by nine white dots, resembles a kind of letter «E», which displays the name of the model.
Due to the presence of decorative convex elements on the radiator grille it looks voluminous, which makes the front panel of the crossover more prominent.
The module is visually united with the large headlights, which are characterized by smooth outlines.
On the sides there are vertical cutouts for air intakes, and in the lower part there is a compact trapezoidal air duct.
The E5 is based on the intelligent DE-i super electric drive platform from the Cyrus Group.
It supports several modes: all-electric, classic hybrid and extended range.
The technical equipment is represented by a highly efficient plug-in hybrid engine based on a 1.5-liter engine produced by Fudi Power and the DHT300 electric hybrid system.
It has an ultra-high compression ratio of 15.5:1, a maximum thermal efficiency of 43.04% and a maximum efficiency of 97.5%.
