Evolute i-Joy 2023.

The Evolute i-Joy crossover comes to the Russian market.

Following the Evolute i-Pro sedan, the Lipetsk plant Motorinvest began assembling the Evolute i-Joy crossover, and these vehicles will go on sale at official dealers in seven Russian regions over the coming weekend.

The electric i-Joy is a variant of the 2019 Chinese Dongfeng Fengon E3 crossover, which is exported under the name Seres 3 (including to Europe).

In terms of dimensions, the Evolute i-Joy is close to the familiar Nissan Qashqai and Skoda Karoq models. Length — 4385 mm, width — 1850 mm, height — 1650 mm and wheelbase — 2655 mm.

The crossover has 18-inch alloy wheels, declared ground clearance — 180 mm, but the drive is only front, and the simple chassis — with McPherson struts in front and semi-dependent suspension in back.

The trunk volume is from 535 liters under the shelf to 1225 liters with the folded back sofa.

The front axle is equipped with synchronous electric motor with an output of 163 hp and 195 Nm, although previously higher figures were shown.

There are Eco, Normal and Sport driving modes. The crossover with curb weight of 1,765 kg can accelerate to «hundred» in 8.9 seconds, the maximum speed — 155 km/h.

Under the cabin floor there is a 53 kW∙h lithium-ion traction battery with liquid cooling system.

A full charge should be enough for 407 km of travel on the old NEDC cycle.

One of the main differences between the Russian Evolut and the original Chinese Dongfeng — charging connectors: i-Joy is equipped with a combined connector Type 2/CCS2.

The AC charger output is 7 kW, while the DC charger output is 45 kW. In the latter case, it takes 35 minutes to charge the battery from 20% to 80%.

Evolute i-Joy is offered only in one rich package.

It includes six airbags, a stabilization system, virtual instruments (10.25 inches), a media system (also 10.25 inches), upholstery of seats with leatherette, climate control, electric drive and heating of front seats, all-around cameras, parktronic, panoramic roof, built-in video recorder, cruise control with speed limiter, light and rain sensors.

But the steering wheel is adjustable only in height. You can choose from four body colors (black, red, blue, and white), and the only option is an autonomous heater.

The price according to the price list is 3 million 490 thousand rubles. However, all Evolute models are included in the state program of subsidized car loans, which provide a 35% discount for electric cars assembled in Russia, but not more than 925 thousand rubles.

Taking into account the subsidy, the crossover will cost 2,565,000 rubles. According to the idea, the i-Joy should primarily interest private customers, while the i-Pro sedan is mainly intended for corporate clients.
