Ferrari showcased the exclusive Monza SP1 and SP2 Speedsters.
The Italians have unveiled the first two models of the new Icona line, which will be released in limited editions for select customers of the brand.

The models were named Monza SP1 and SP2. First, exclusive speedsters were shown to selected clients at a private event, and now they are revealed to everyone.

The cars will be the first of the new Icona lineup to include limited edition sports cars.

The cars are made in the style of 1950s speedsters and differ from other Ferrari models by their better power-to-weight ratio.

The new items are equipped with a 6-liter 809-horsepower V12, which in combination with a lightweight carbon body provides acceleration from standstill to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds, top speed is 300 km / h.

And at the same time, neither Monza SP1 nor Monza SP2 has a roof, but even a windshield!

Among other features, we note the layout. Despite the fact that both models are based on the 812 Superfast supercar, the Monza SP1 has only one place: the driver’s seat is located on the left.

If you want to ride with a passenger, then you need to choose the Monza SP2, which has a second seat with a small windscreen in front of it.

Access to the interior is opened by small doors that fold forward and upward, and the interior is almost completely copies the interior of the original model.

Both cars are certified for public roads, but it’s unlikely you’ll ever see one of the Monza in a traffic jam.
The circulation of each speedster will be only 100 copies, and all of them have already found their owners.

In addition to buying an exclusive Ferrari, customers will have the opportunity to purchase accessories for a model from a specially designed line of clothing and racing equipment.

The tuners have made the Ferrari SP1 Monza even more attractive.

Oh, isn’t your limited-edition Ferrari V12 speedy enough for you?
Only the most loyal and reliable Ferrari customers got the opportunity to buy one of the 499 Monza Speedsters.

You had to be in the Ferrari Friends Group on WhatsApp even to peek inside the showroom. And then, perhaps, you will be presented with the biggest problem of the first world: choose whether to buy a single-seat SP1 or more than a two-seat SP2.

You can imagine that what is essentially a roofless 812 Superfast would be considered «ideal». In the end, each of the Monza twins develops 820 hp. thanks to its upgraded 6.5 liter V12 engines.

They accelerate to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds and top speed is limited to 305 km / h because even Ferrari doesn’t think it’s wise to go too fast when your Ray Bans are the windshield.

But no. This is not enough. And this is where such German supercar masters emerge under the name Novitec. They have a big shiny exhaust and some wrenches with them.

Novitec says its gold-plated exhaust system offers better heat dissipation and lower back pressure than the standard Ferrari system.

Naturally, you can opt for the stainless steel exhaust or the lightweight Inconel from Formula 1. This apparently freed up an additional 34 hp, while the torque went up 60 Nm, so both figures are now 855 hp. with. and 780 Nm.

Oddly enough, our friends at Novitec have gone out of their way to describe the sound this V12 makes. TG can only assume that this is because they are all deaf.

Meanwhile, Novitec lowered the ride height by 35mm, so the Monza is now lower than the snake, and installed a new set of Vossen alloy wheels: 21 «at the front and 22» at the rear.

After all, there was a real danger that you would pay over £ 2 million for one of these Monzas without getting anyone’s attention.

Obviously, the Novitec Monza is a tenth of a second faster than a regular car in acceleration from 0 to 100, and the top speed is now limited and is «well above 305 km / h.»

I wonder if anyone has the courage to find out exactly how much higher?
