The Ferrari Purosangue 2023 crossover will be available later this year.

The first ever Ferrari crossover is already close! Information about the development of such a car appeared back in the summer of 2017, and in the fall of the same year it was officially confirmed.

A year later, the name was announced: Ferrari Purosangue, that is «purebred».

And later the company had to fight for this name in court: the organization Purosangue Foundation in 2020 tried to prohibit the use of the name for the car.

And here’s the latest news: in the recently released report for the record year 2021, Ferrari mentioned in passing that production of the Purosangue model will start this year, and deliveries to customers — in 2023.

Judging by spy photos, the crossover is almost ready. In fact, if at first there were mules with resawed bodies of Ferrari GTC4Lusso and Maserati Levante models on the roads, then last year the cars with their own «body», even generously wrapped in camouflage were noticed for the first time.

The Purosangue will actually replace the four-seat GTC4Lusso (its production was phased out back in 2020) and will be the first factory Ferrari with five doors.

Alas, there are no details about the technology yet. We only know that the crossover will be built on a modified platform of the Ferrari Roma and Portofino M models, but with adjustable ground clearance.

Back in 2018, it was announced that the crossover will get a hybrid powertrain — most likely with a V8 turbo engine.

The appearance of a 12-cylinder modification is unlikely. Now the only model with V12 engine is Ferrari Daytona SP3 mid-engined coupe, which will be produced in 599 copies: this supercar is already presented, but will be on sale almost simultaneously with the crossover.

By the way, this year the company Ferrari announced two premieres, so the company crossover will have one more novelty.

The release of the Ferrari Purosangue first became known in 2018.

According to the manufacturer’s plans, the purebred Italian car is set to debut in 2022. And it looks like Ferrari is right on schedule.

The developer has officially confirmed that production of the new Purosangue will begin this year.

This information is taken from the company’s 30-page sales report for 2021.

More importantly, deliveries of the Ferrari Purosangue 2023 will begin this year, with the first owners getting their cars in their hands next year.

Another future novelty from the Italian brand will be the Ferrari Daytona SP3.

This supercar with a V12 engine was already presented last year. However, its production, as well as the Purosangue, will start in 2022 and deliveries will start in 2023.

The Daytona SP3 is the third model in the Icona lineup, which reimagines classic Ferrari design for the modern era.

At the moment, Ferrari is not officially revealing any details about the new Purosangue.

However, «spy» pictures of the car a little earlier were published on the web (photo: motor1.com).

Prototypes of the model were spotted in Italy during test drives.

Initially, the appearance of the car was hidden under the Maserati Levante trim.

However, the latest photos showed the production body of the car, albeit hidden by thick camouflage.

Note that Ferrari has set a new sales record in 2021, delivering more than 11,000 cars around the world.

By doing so, it exceeded its 2020 results by 22.3 percent. Ferrari’s 2021 sales report shows an increase in demand for V8-powered models.

At the same time, the popularity of V12-powered supercars has declined due to the reduced output of the 812 Superfast.

The arrival of the new Purosangue should further strengthen the Italian brand’s position in the market, as the model will belong to the category of sports crossovers.
