Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition 2022.

A special version of the Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition 2022 can be seen at the Chicago Auto Show.

It pays tribute to the company’s sports cars, which in the past «fought» on the race tracks, including at Le Mans in 1966 (when three Ford cars took all the prizes).

When the doors open at the Chicago Auto Show, Ford will have a limited edition Alan Mann Heritage Edition on display.

The model is styled as the «red and gold» GT40 AM GT-1 race car from Alan Mann Racing.

It has the same bright red paint job with gold and white lines, and is adorned with the number «16,» the same one used on the race car in 1966.

In addition to the special color, the model stands out for its original wheels, side sills, rear diffuser, rear view mirrors, front splitter and abundant use of carbon fiber.

The interior is styled in racing style with alcantara buckets, oval steering wheel with gearshift paddles, carbon fiber trim and red and gold stitching accents on the dash and seats.

The Ford GT Alan Mann Heritage Edition will be produced in a very limited edition, the manufacturer does not say the exact number. The race car will be available to see live on February 12 at the Chicago International Auto Show.

Alan Mann Racing is a racing team from Britain, which was founded by Alan Mann on August 22, 1936. In 1964, it became a factory team of Ford Motor Company.

Another special version, «Alan Mann Heritage Edition,» is prepared for the supercar Ford GT, the release of which is coming to an end.

Its premiere took place at the Chicago Motor Show 2022. It is not difficult to guess from the name of the novelty, that it is devoted to racing team Alan Mann Racing, which in 1966 won a 24-hour marathon in Le Mans, acting on a lightweight prototype Ford AM GT-1.

The presented modification has a similar body coloring, where the basic red color is combined with white and gold accents.

The car is also decorated with the number «16», which again is a reference to the mentioned racing prototype.

The special version is characterized by a number of aerodynamic components made of «bare» carbon fiber.

Plus the car attracts attention with 20-inch carbon fiber wheels with black and red Brembo brake calipers.

The interior is trimmed with black alcantara, which covers not only the seats, but also the front panel, steering wheel, roof pillars and even the ceiling.

The interior also used decorative accents of «naked» carbon fiber.

The interior of the modification is additionally notable for the presence of red and gold stitching.

There are «GT» logos on the headrests of the seats and the paddles are made in red color «Alan Mann Red». Technical stuffing remained standard.

Note that the special version Alan Mann Heritage Edition has become the seventh in a line of Heritage Edition.

It was preceded by modifications of the 2017 Ford GT ’66 (27 produced cars), 2018 Ford GT ’67 (39 pcs), 2019 Ford GT ’68 Gulf Livery (50 pcs), 2020 Ford GT ’69 Gulf Livery (50 pcs), 2021 Ford GT ’66 Daytona and 2022 Ford GT ’64 Heritage Edition.

The cost and number of copies hasn’t been announced yet, but Ford has already opened ordering, but only a «select few customers» of the brand can reserve a car.

The first buyers will receive their cars until the end of the first quarter of 2022.
