Ford Mustang Mach-E: Americans turned the Mustang into an electric crossover In mid-November two thousand nineteen, as part of a special event at one of the private airfields in Los Angeles, a presentation of the Ford Mustang Mach-E electric crossover took place.

The new model Ford Mustang Match-E 2020-2021 has a strongly tilted windshield, a coupe-like roof, as well as plump rear fenders, while the Americans tried to use exceptionally soft and smooth transitions in the silhouette outlines.

Plus, the absence of traditional door handles is also intended to contribute to the creation of the most streamlined look. As for the stern, the crossover sports modern Mustang-style lights, as well as a neat spoiler on the trunk lid and a massive rear bumper with a blackened bottom.

The interior of the electric Mustang Mach-E is made in a minimalist style and in some places resembles the interior of the Explorer. Inside is a freestanding 10.2-inch digital instrument display, as well as a huge 15.5-inch infotainment tablet.

On the front panel of the crossover there are narrow strips of ventilation deflectors, and point aluminum inserts are used for its decoration. It is known that for a surcharge, the electric car can be equipped with a Bang & Olufsen audio system with 10 speakers, ambient lighting, heated steering wheel and front seats, and a panoramic roof.

In length and height, the Ford Mustang Mach-E reaches 4,712 and 1,597 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,984 mm. Its trunk volume is 821 liters, although the hold capacity can be increased up to 1,688 liters by folding the rear seats. Plus there is an additional cargo compartment in the front, designed for 136 liters.

For the new Ford Mustang Mach-E 2020, five different versions have been announced. The basic version is called Select, and prices start at $ 43,895. The performance of such a crossover is 259 hp. and 414 Nm (565 Nm on an all-wheel drive version), while the motor / motors are powered for their work from a traction battery with a capacity of 75.7 kWh.

The rear-wheel drive Mustang Mach-E Select accelerates from 0-60 mph (96 km / h) in about 6.0 seconds and has a range of 370 kilometers. The all-wheel drive crossover copes with the task in about 5.5 seconds, but its range is slightly less — 338 km.

Next comes the Mach-E Premium version starting at $ 50,600. By default, it has the same hardware as the Select, but it can be equipped with a larger battery of 98.8 kWh. The long-range version with rear-wheel drive has a 286-horsepower electric motor, although the torque is the same — 414 Nm.

Acceleration from 0-60 mph in this case takes about 6.5 seconds, but the car can travel up to 483 km without recharging. The all-wheel drive off-road vehicle is more powerful — 338 hp. (565 Nm), and he takes the 0-60 mph bar in about 5.5 seconds, and his mileage on a full charge reaches 435 kilometers.

The third modification is the Mach-E California Route 1 starting at $ 52,400. This crossover is offered exclusively with rear-wheel drive and a 98.8 kWh battery. Therefore, it is driven by a 286-horsepower electric motor.

The fourth variant of the Mach-E First Edition (from $ 59,900) is an all-wheel drive long-range version of the model with a 338-horsepower engine. The flagship in the line is the Mach-E GT, costing from $ 60,500. This option is all-wheel drive, and it is driven by motors with a total output of 465 forces and 830 Nm.

Such a car can accelerate from zero to hundreds in about 3.5 seconds, and the battery (98.8 kWh) will provide the car with a power reserve of up to 378 km. You can recharge the battery of an electric car using a special mobile device, when used in an hour, the mileage is replenished by about 35 kilometers.

A Ford Connected Charging station is also available as an option. It allows you to replenish the power reserve by 51 km in an hour. Plus, drivers can take advantage of 150-kilowatt fast charging stations. When using them, you can recharge the battery from 10 to 80% in about 38 minutes.

Acceptance of orders for the Ford Mustang Mach-E has already begun — you can reserve a car by leaving an advance payment of $ 500. Deliveries of cars to the first customers will begin only at the end of 2020, while the Select and GT versions will not appear at all until two thousand twenty-first.
