Ford Puma 2023.

The 2023 Ford Puma crossover is one of the American marque’s most successful products in recent years.

In terms of sales in Europe, this model surpasses most of its classmates.

Moreover, this situation has been observed throughout the years that Puma has been present on the EU market. And now this car can be bought in Russia.

Domestic dealers in early February announced the start of sales of the new Puma, imported as part of a parallel import from Europe.

For an American crossover, they asked for 3,172,000 rubles. For comparison: the most expensive version of the car, which debuted at the end of last year, costs 35,078 euros, or 2.7 million rubles in terms of the current exchange rate.

For the specified amount in Russia, they offered a 125-horsepower 1-liter turbocharged engine, which is complemented by a 7-speed “robot”. Four-wheel drive in this modification is not provided.

Puma was brought to Russia in one of the average configurations. Along with the US model, buyers will get a rear camera, automatic valet parking, electrically heated exterior mirrors and other options.

But in Europe, other modifications of the crossover with more extensive equipment are also available. So, since the end of December, the Vivid Ruby Edition has been on sale on the EU market.

It is equipped with 18-inch wheel rims, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, an 8-inch touchscreen monitor, sports suspension, adaptive cruise with Stop & Go function, electrically heated steering wheel and windshield, blind spot monitoring system, keyless entry, power rear doors and premium acoustics.

In Europe, the American novelty is available with the same liter turbo engine that is part of the hybrid installation. The total output of this system reaches 155 hp.

There is a less powerful version of this hybrid, producing the same 125 hp. In addition, Puma is sold in some markets with a 95-horsepower unit.

And in the ST modification, a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine is provided, delivering up to 200 hp. That is, Ford offers, together with Puma, a wide range of engine options.

However, the American manufacturer will not stop there.

Already in 2023, a new version of Puma should enter the European market.

Moreover, Ford is preparing quite serious changes. So, during 2023, the planned restyling of Puma will be completed, which will bring with it some cosmetic improvements.

But, as expected, the crossover will not change dramatically.

Simultaneously with the restyled version of Puma should debut all-electric.

Little is known about this modification. It is reported that it will be based on the MEB platform, which will be borrowed from Volkswagen.

With the electric version, Puma will also offer several engine options that can develop from 130 to 150 hp.

After changing the engine range, the American crossover will not acquire all-wheel drive. Complete with the electric version, a battery with a capacity of up to 50 kWh will be available, which will provide a range of 350 kilometers.

Such active attention to Puma from Ford is due not only to high sales of the car.

This model, according to many European experts, is the benchmark for compact crossovers.

Repeated test drives have shown that Puma is the best car for the city, which can be used for long trips.

That is, the American model is able to become a universal compact crossover, available at a low price.
