Genesis Convertible X 2023.

Genesis Convertible X: Concept Convertible in the brand’s new signature design.

Genesis has prepared the X Convertible concept electric convertible for the Los Angeles Auto Show 2022.

This is the third show car from the X-line (previously presented X Concept Coupe and X Speedium Coupe fastback).

The convertible has the same appearance as the other two cars. Apparently, all of them demonstrate the future «Athletic Elegance» signature design, which in the future will receive commercial cars of the brand.

Note that the grille of the conceptual «opener» has no, but made in the form of narrow strips of headlights still reproduce its shape, familiar from serial Genesys with an internal combustion engine.

From the side the electric car draws attention with a long hood and muscular overlaps around the wheels.

Its stern has a neat spoiler and LED twin-strip lights.

As for the folding hardtop, the show car has three sections, and the first of them (above the heads of front riders) is made transparent.

The Genesis X Convertible Concept interior has four seats.

The front surface of the seats is trimmed with leather, while their sides, as well as armrests and the central tunnel, are already made of recycled fabric.

The interior design is made with an emphasis on the driver: his seat is literally enveloped by screens, from which the control of car’s functions is carried out.

The audio system is also called to please the passengers, in the development of which famous Korean sound engineer Guk Il took part.

In terms of dimensions, the shown cabriolet is comparable to BMW 8-Series and Mercedes E-Class, but the manufacturer did not disclose information about its power plant.

To all appearances, there will be more than just concepts, and X-family cars may well become mass-produced.

The creative director of the brand Luc Donverwolke hinted at it in his speech.

According to him, Genesis is on the verge of a new stage of development and in the future it will produce both traditional multi-functional cars and more emotional ones.
