Genesis G70 2024.

About six years ago, Hyundai launched the Genesis G70 2024 premium sedan on the world market.

Since that time, the Korean model has only once experienced a significant update.

Now the 2024 Genesis G70 is expecting a second restyling. But the changes being made now are designed, first of all, to slightly extend the life of the car.

In the coming years, the Korean model will leave the global market.

The reason why Hyundai is removing this sedan is that a similar electric car will take its place.

However, it is not yet known whether the Korean model will retain its former name.

Considering that Hyundai is actively pushing the electrification agenda of cars, it is not surprising that the restyled Genesis G70 will debut in May 2023.

According to preliminary information, as part of the planned modernization, the Korean model will be pointwise redesigned.

In particular, the front of the body will be designed in the style of a flagship sedan with its longer LED strips that act as head optics.

Also for the Genesis G70 will prepare new rims and body colors.

In the cabin, the climate control panel will be redesigned: standard buttons will be replaced with touch ones.

At the same time, the car will retain a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.

More importantly, after restyling the Genesis G70 will lose a 245-horsepower 2-liter turbo engine.

Its place will be taken by a 2.5-liter supercharged engine developing up to 305 hp. and 422 N * m.

At the same time, in some markets, the Korean model will be presented with a 3.3-liter turbo engine, which, due to two turbines, produces up to 379 hp. and 530 N * m of torque.

As for the electric version of the sedan, it should enter the world market during 2025.

The upgraded Genesis G70 received a 300-horsepower base engine.

Most of the transformations happened in the engine compartment. There is no 2.0-liter turbocharged unit.

The upgraded Genesis G70 has an improved logo. It is characterized by minimalism due to the two-dimensional design solution.

The body color scheme uses Kawah Blue and Bartna Grey.

A touchscreen flaunts in the center of the console. It is located under the ventilation deflectors and is responsible for controlling the air conditioning system.

The list of starting equipment included ventilation of the head seats, heated second-row seats and a frameless rear-view mirror.

In the line of engines, in addition to the 2.5-liter unit for 300 “horses”, the “six” with a displacement of 3.3 liters is still available for the 2024 Genesis G70.

True, such a motor relies exclusively for a sedan.

The cost of the upgraded version in South Korea has already been announced: from 2.6 million rubles for a sedan and from 2.7 million rubles for a station wagon.

A sedan with a maximum engine of 3.3 costs at least 2 million 900 thousand rubles.
