Genesis X Speedium Coupe 2022: the Koreans showed a concept big coupe.

An unusual concept X Speedium Coupe was shown in the Genesis boutique in New York.

This car showed possible development of design of the premium brand.

First of all, the show car is notable for unusual design of the front part of the body: the car has no branded grille, but special light strips combined with headlights reproduce its contours.

From the side, the car is notable for a long roof line and total absence of a «tail» of the trunk, so the rear window is shifted up to the spoiler.

The interior of the Genesis X Speedium Coupe concept is four-seater, but no photos of the interior have been published.

It is not necessary to expect a serial version of such two-door. This was announced directly by the representatives of the Korean brand.

The X Speedium electric coupe has shown the new Genesis brand style.

The concept debuted at a special event at the Genesis House showroom.

Genesis unveiled the new X Speedium Coupe concept car in New York City.

The presentation didn’t take place at a motor show, but at a private Genesis House Design Night event at the company’s West Manhattan boutique.

The prototype demonstrates the design development vector of the brand’s electric cars and is painted a deep green color named after the South Korean race track.

Unlike Hyundai and Kia, Genesis did not attend the New York Auto Show, but held a presentation of the X Speedium Coupe concept at the Genesis House brand boutique located in the Meatpacking shopping district in western Manhattan.

The squat car showcases the brand’s electric car design vector, but is also closely related to last year’s Genesis X Concept show car.

The stylistics of the prototype are called Reductive Design, or Less is better.

The car as if by hand was wiped unnecessary décor, emphasizing the elegance of the forms with the correct arrangement of straight lines and curves.

The corporate style is preserved to the smallest detail: there is a swift sill line Parabolic Line, and dual Quad Lamps, and Crest Grille, painted with glowing bars between the headlights.

When looking from above, the X Speedium Coupe reminds an hourglass shape and in profile it is closer to a hatchback than to a classic coupe.

Among other features are the raised rear spoiler with a stop-light in the form of the letter «V» and the Inje Green body coloring.

It is a deep emerald green metallic that mimics the color of classic models and is named after the South Korean Inje Speedium racetrack.

There will be no serial continuation of the X Speedium Coupe concept.

Most likely, the future electric cars Genesis will borrow only some stylistically decisions, and that in the maximally adapted form.

Until it has not happened, there are three electric models of the brand «first wave» — GV60, Electrified G80 and Electrified GV70.
