Haval Xiaolong Max 2024.

Haval will introduce a new hybrid crossover in April.

At the beginning of the year, pictures of two new Haval crossovers: Xiaolong and Xiaolong Max («Brave Dragon») leaked to the Web.

About the car, apparently, represent one model, but shown in two different versions.

It has now been revealed that the 2024 Haval Xiaolong and Xiaolong Max (the production version may be renamed) will make their official debut at the Shanghai Auto Show starting April 17th.

Reported. that the Chinese novelty is equipped with a hybrid with a 1.5-liter turbo unit at the base.

The declared power of the internal combustion engine reaches 101 hp. This unit is responsible for charging a 19.2-kilowatt battery, from which a 156-horsepower electric motor is powered.

The built-in battery allows you to drive with the engine off a little less than 100 kilometers. But the total power reserve reaches 1000 kilometers.

Prices for both new items have not been announced. At the same time, it is known that they will receive technological equipment, including a long display consisting of three screens.

Crossovers are different, but they are united by the use of the L.E.M.O.N. platform, which, for example, underlies the Russian Dargo, as well as the Great Wall hybrid power plant called Hi4.

This system includes a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 115.5 hp. and an electric motor on the rear axle with a power of 204 hp.

The total power of the system is 280 hp. This is a typical Hi4 variant (it is used in the top version of Xiaolong Max), but it may have other variations.

The drive, by the way, is full — the internal combustion engine is connected to the front axle through a two-stage DHT transmission.

One more thing to note: the Hi4 is a plug-in hybrid system, meaning that both cars can travel a small number of miles in pure electric mode.

Haval Xiaolong Max is the more interesting of the two new products. Crossover dimensions are 4758 x 1895 x 1725 mm, wheelbase — 2800 mm.

Outwardly, it is most similar to ordinary Haval like the F7, except that the grille is frameless.

In the cabin there are three screens with a diagonal of 12.3 inches, in addition to them there is also a projection display.

The unusually high central tunnel ends with wireless charging for two phones. Xiaolong Max accelerates to 100 km / h in 6.8 seconds and can travel up to 90 km on pure electricity.
