Honda ZR-V 2022.

The Honda ZR-V crossover was not what we expected. The Honda ZR-V crossover has been presented in China: a redesigned version of the HR-V model.

Intelligence was wrong. It was assumed that the new index ZR-V will get the most compact Parkett brand Honda, the forerunner of which last fall was the concept car Honda SUV RS.

Apparently, this car will enter the market under a different name. Because the index ZR-V has got quite another crossover. It was shown in China.

The premiere of the Honda ZR-V crossover, which in fact is a modified version of the «North American» Honda HR-V III model took place in China.

Interestingly, earlier in the network there were rumors that the index ZR-V will get the most compact parkettes of the Japanese brand, but, apparently, the upcoming novelty will still get another designation.

The new Honda ZR-V is a Chinese version of the American Honda HR-V, which, however, is not fully declassified.

As for the Chinese Honda ZR-V 2023, then visually it differs from the American HR-V only a few details.

In particular, the Parktronic has a big panoramic roof instead of the sunroof and exposed exhaust pipes (it is possible that it is an imitation).

The car also boasts wheels of original design. There are no pictures of the car interior yet, and technical information is rather scarce.

Thus, it is still a big question which preferences of these two markets were a priority during the development of the car.

Judging by the available pictures, the HR-V and ZR-V differ from each other only in some details.

For example, the Chinese car has different wheels, big panoramic roof instead of a hatch, and exhaust pipes (or their imitation) are exposed.

There are no pictures of the interior yet, and technical information is scarce.

Crossover length of about 4.5 meters is based on a platform of Honda Civic.

Judging by the nameplate «240 Turbo» on the stern, Chinese Honda ZR-V will have the same 1.5 turbo engine (182 hp, 240 Nm), as the Civic.

It is reported that the all-terrain vehicle is based on the Honda Civic model and reaches a length of 4.5 meters.

But what exactly the engine of the car is equipped with is not specified. In this case we can see the badge «240 Turbo» on the back of the car, which means that under the hood there is a 1.5-liter turbo engine rated at 182 hp (240 Nm).

The same unit is completed with donor Civic. The «Chinese» Honda ZR-V will be produced on capacities of JV GAC Honda.

In the Middle Kingdom market sales of Japanese crossover will start in the second half of 2022, while the «American» HR-V will appear on sale a little earlier — in the summer.

Production of the crossover will be a joint venture of GAC Honda, and sales will start in the second half of the year. And in America, the Honda HR-V will be on the market this summer.
