«Killer» Mercedes E-Class: the new Hongqi E-QM5 enters the market. Prices Announced
The automotive market is replenished with new models from manufacturers from China.
So, representatives of Hongqi dealerships announced the imminent release of the 2023 E-QM5 sedan.
Moreover, the approximate cost of the novelty has already been announced, which, depending on the configuration, will be estimated at 3.8-4.0 million rubles.
Hongqi (translated from Chinese as «Red Banner») is little known, but it is one of the oldest brands in China.
The beginning of its activities dates back to 1958, and at the present time it is a subsidiary of the auto giant FAW.
We also note that initially Hongqi was exclusively engaged in the development and production of premium cars for the top officials of the Celestial Empire.
But since the end of the last century, the company’s management decided to expand the area of its presence and organized the assembly of sedans and crossovers, which were also available to ordinary customers.
Just a couple of years ago, the Hongqi management once again revised its work policy and added electric cars, hybrids, and hypercars to the models listed above.
In addition, the Chinese manufacturer has expanded the geography of sales, aiming, among other things, at the Russian market.
And that is why the new «green» E-QM5 sedan was announced in our country.
Note that the mentioned model is a major representative of its segment.
Its body length exceeds 5 meters, which makes the E-QM5 even larger than the premium Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
The salon can be five-seater (in this case, the second row of seats is made in the form of a solid sofa) or four-seater (two separate chairs are installed instead of the sofa).
The list of mandatory sedan options includes climate control for 4 zones, leather upholstery, an infotainment complex with a touch screen, a digital instrument panel and other premium features and systems.
The new Hongqi E-QM5 is driven by two electric motors at once, the power of which is 136 and 190 hp, respectively, and on a single charge the sedan can travel about 430 km.
Vehicle dimensions: 5.04 / 1.91 / 1.569 meters. The distance between the axles is 2.99 meters.
The size of the novelty is comparable to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. At the same time, the car turned out to be even larger than the “German”.
The novelty looks, like other Hongqi luxury models, luxurious and elegant, attracting attention with smooth body contours and original solutions, in particular, unusual design optics with curved LED strips that flow into the area of the closed radiator grille.
In addition, the sedan is equipped with a large number of modern equipment. The salon is designed for four or five people, depending on the version.
