One of the main bestsellers in the Russian crossover market is the Korean Hyundai Creta SUV. This car was first launched into production in the summer of 2014, and in Russia the novelty was presented during the 2016 Moscow Motor Show.

The 2021 Hyundai Creta is a first-generation crossover that has undergone restyling specifically for the domestic car market. In dealerships, the novelty is available in five trim levels, and also has two special versions — Brown Pack and BI-2.

The cost of an SUV in the basic modification is 991 thousand, and the most expensive version of BI-2 can be bought for 1.568 million rubles.

As a power unit, the crossover is equipped with 1.6- and 2-liter engines, paired with a manual or automatic transmission, as well as a system with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The main rivals of the cross are KIA Seltos, Renault Kaptur and Nissan Qashqai.

Options and prices

Despite the fact that the 2021 Hyundai Creta received minor changes in appearance, the crossover in the new body will be available in additional trim levels.

The most affordable new Hyundai Creta is in the Start configuration, the price of which is 991 thousand rubles. Despite the relatively inexpensive cost, the crossover has a decent level of equipment:

As a base power unit, the Hyundai Creta SUV will be equipped with a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine, the power output of which is 121 or 123 horsepower.

Together with him, the work of a 6-speed «mechanics» or the same «automatic machine», as well as a system with a leading front or all-wheel drive, is supposed.

Average fuel consumption for this engine is in the range from 7 to 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers. The cross will accelerate to «hundreds» in 12-13 seconds, and the maximum speed is 169 km / h.

For more expensive modifications, the manufacturer offers a 2-liter 149-horsepower engine, which is paired with the installation of an automatic transmission and a system with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

For this engine, fuel consumption is within 7.5-8 liters, and acceleration to 100 km / h is achieved in 10.7-11.3 seconds. The maximum speed with which the SUV is capable of driving is 183 km / h.

The suspension of the restyled cross will be no different from the standard one and will be presented by an independent front suspension with MacPherson struts, as well as a multi-link design at the rear. The braking system is equipped with ventilated disc brakes both front and rear.

Speaking about such indicators of Hyundai Creta as handling, we can say that the restyled version did not receive any fundamental differences from the standard modification of the first generation.

The cross will have the same reliable suspension and high-quality steering. If we add here the presence of a mass of electronic assistants and assistants, then we can safely say that the updated SUV is able to perfectly hold the road both on a high-quality asphalt surface and in rather difficult off-road conditions.

Due to its rather compact size, the cross is ideal for driving in city mode and will allow you to park without problems in narrow lanes.

At the same time, due to the presence of a high ground clearance, a sufficiently powerful engine and an all-wheel drive system, the owner of the Hyundai Creta can easily rely on his crossover both during long driving on the highway and while driving on country roads, which will be uneven, for example, during time of trips to the country.

At the same time, we must not forget that this model, although powerful enough, only belongs to the class of SUVs, and therefore does not have full-fledged off-road qualities.

Maintenance costs

The Korean SUV is a fairly reliable cross, therefore, with the timely passage of the mandatory maintenance, it can last for a long time, without requiring any significant investments in repair work. In general, carrying out minor repairs will not require serious costs and is quite affordable for the average citizen.

As for the costs of scheduled maintenance, which is carried out every 15 thousand kilometers until a mileage of 120 thousand km is reached, they can average from 5 to 20 thousand rubles.

Dynamic properties and fuel consumption

The characteristics of the powertrains that are installed on the new 2021 Hyundai Creta allow the driver to feel equally comfortable during long high-speed trips on the highway. In general, this type of engine is very reliable, and the fuel consumption is 7-8 liters, which does not exceed the average of any «classmate».

Design

As for the design of the crossover, the restyling carried out made only minimal changes to the appearance of the car.

In general, the SUV received a typical exterior with the presence of square body shapes, large headlights, a hexagonal grille and a bumper protruding forward.

The main difference between the updated model is the presence of an air intake with integrated foglights. The side part of the body looks very voluminous thanks to the stampings on the fenders and doors. The stern is distinguished by large lanterns and an embossed tailgate.

The rear bumper also comes with an integrated diffuser. In general, the entire body, which received an additional plastic body kit, has become more stylish and aggressive.

The interior of the updated cross has received better finishing materials, although you cannot immediately notice the fundamental differences in the available equipment.

A rather large touchscreen display for controlling the functionality of the multimedia system stands out on the central panel, on the sides of which additional air duct deflectors are installed.

You can also note the bright dashboard and the presence of additional chassis settings, displayed in the form of control selectors on the central tunnel. The seats of the salon are quite comfortable and have very high quality lateral support.

The trunk is very roomy, and in case of the need to transport large loads, it can increase thanks to the folded rear seats.
