Hyundai Palisade 2023.

The big crossover Hyundai Palisade debuted in the fall of 2018, and it’s already time for a planned restyling.

The updated car will be unveiled as early as April 13, but in the meantime, Hyundai has published two teasers.

On which, however, we can see the main changes. Palisade will get a new face with other lighting equipment, although the «two-storey» scheme with three-sectional vertical strips of running lights is preserved.

Instead of figured shield of a radiator grill a rectangular «grill» with large cells will appear.

Hyundai has released an intriguing teaser of the updated 2023 Palisade ahead of its debut at the New York International Auto Show next week.

In this scatchette, the updated Korean SUV shows off the new style of the grille, styled after Hyundai’s current models.

It has taken on a more square shape compared to the current model, and also has the «parametric shield elements» that were featured on the Tucson and Santa Cruz.

It also manages to spot a set of new multi-spoke alloy wheels.

In addition, the new Palisade has the original headlights, consisting of vertically connected composite LED lights. The stern has not been presented on the teasers yet.

Most likely, it will also be updated with the current design language of the brand.

There will be a new steering wheel, virtual dashboard, modern multimedia and thinner air vents.

We’ve seen all of this in spy shots of test prototypes of the new model.

The Palisade has been in production since 2018, so this update was planned for it.

We’re not expecting a new drivetrain for the 2023 Palisade, which means it will likely still be powered by the signature 3.8-liter V6 engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive will be available.

The three-row interior will probably change as well, but no details are available yet.

According to preliminary information, at least one update is expected under the hood: to replace «cast iron» turbodiesel 2.2 CRDi (200 hp) should come a new generation unit with an aluminum block, already familiar from more compact models Hyundai and Kia.

As for gasoline engines, now Palisade for different markets is equipped with an atmospheric V6 3.5 MPI (249-277 hp) or V6 3.8 GDI (295 hp). More details are coming soon.

The current Palisade costs from $34,335. It will obviously go up in price after the upgrade.

The 2023 Palisade will make its world debut at the New York International Auto Show on April 13.
