New Japanese Isuzu D-MAX 2023 for Russia. One of the most powerful off-road vehicles on the market.

Pickup trucks in Russia just recently began to gain popularity. However, this segment has its own «kings».

The model Isuzu D-MAX 2023 can be safely attributed to them. Now in our country the third generation of the model is sold in five versions, priced from 4.4 to 5.6 million rubles.

The truck has only one non-alternative engine, combined with an all-wheel drive, as well as an automatic transmission or manual transmission to choose from.

The main competitors of the truck are Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi L200. The truck has a rather «aggressive» look and is able to attract attention on public roads.

The new Isuzu D-MAX 2023 pickup, as well as the previous ones, is made in Thailand, which leads to such high prices even for basic equipment.

But the technical characteristics of this model is really quite uncommon. According to the submitted photos you can get acquainted with the design of the car.

Design .

As already noted, the pickup has «aggressive» features. First of all, this is emphasized by the headlights, set at a small angle.

Also the «anger» of the car is expressed in a large grille with decorative plastic slats of unusual shape.

Of the non-standard «sidewall» details can be distinguished large running boards and large disks with stylish weaving of spokes.

Special attention deserves wheel arches and side mirror housings, which in some configurations can be painted black.

The D-MAX’s stern, as in the case of any truck, does not stand out in any particular way.

Interior is certainly not a world of luxury and comfort, but do not complain about the lack of options.

In the center of the front console there is a big monitor for multimedia, which is located inside the block with holes for air conditioning.

By the way, the climate settings are made from a separate module located a little bit lower.

From the driver’s side you can see a multifunctional steering wheel and a hybrid instrument panel with analog and digital indicators.

Special mention should be made of the comfortable seats both on the first and second rows. By the way, the upholstery of all the seats is of high quality and very pleasant to the touch.

Options

The car is offered on the market in our country only with one power unit and all-wheel drive, so the price may depend on the selected transmission («automatic» or «manual»), as well as the level of equipment.

A total of five configurations are available: Business; Comfort; Premium; Space and Premium Safety.

Technical parameters

The third generation almost completely copies its predecessor. This pickup has a frame design with continuous rear axle.

There is nothing bad about it — no one ever complained about such a simple but very reliable solution. Under the hood of the Russian specification is located a three-liter engine with a maximum capacity of 190 horsepower (450 N*m of torque).

This «engine» eats from 8.1 liters of fuel per hundred kilometers. As the transmission is used mechanical six-speed gearbox or automatic with the same number of ranges.

In any case, the traction is sent to all four wheels, which makes the car not just a pickup, but the most real off-roader.

Dimensions of the model are really not small. So, the length of the car body is 5265 mm, width — 1870 mm, and height — 1785 mm.

Of course, in the conditions of the city with such dimensions will be quite problematic to move, but if you get used to it, there will be no problems in the future.

In this case, the weight of the car depending on the configuration of 2 to 2.1 tons, which is not so much for a model of this class.

Cargo compartment is designed for 1045 pounds, which is enough for all the needs for which you buy a vehicle of this type.

Inside the pickup can be five or four seats. In the latter case, there is an armrest with cup holders between the seats of the back row. In any case, it is quite comfortable inside, regardless of the location.
