Jaguar E-Pace R-Dynamic Black 2021 reached Russia.

Sales of the new version of the Jaguar E-Pace R-Dynamic Black 2021 with all-wheel drive and economical motors have started in Russia.

Car dealers of the British brand Jaguar in Russia have begun accepting applications from potential buyers for an updated version of the E-Pace 2021 crossover, as well as for its special modification R-Dynamic Black.

Exterior

R-Dynamic Black 2021 is based on the base S with R-Dynamic package. The word Black in the name of the new version hints at a black decor: in this color, inserts in bumpers, mirrors, glass edging, grilles, air intakes, logos, brand name and nameplates are made.

In addition, gray 19-inch wheels, red calipers and tinted rear windows are added.

At the same time, the «black» E-Pace itself does not have to be black: all the usual body colors are available, as well as a new white color scheme.

Specifications

We see a large line of motors for the E-Pace. Diesel engines can be selected with mild hybrids. The petrol is made by a hybrid in the base.

The buyer buys a “small” SUV based on a 2-liter engine, with four-wheel drive, two-stage automatic transmission. Such a device will give out 200 hp.

Separately, it should be noted the petrol hybrid P300e. As part of this modification, the car is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline three-cylinder engine, front-wheel drive and an electric motor on the front axle.

The maximum power of the unit is 309 hp, acceleration to 100 km in 6.5 s.

A special version of the E-Pace R-Dynamic Black 2021 is offered with a pair of two-liter «turbo fours» of the Ingenium family — a 199-horsepower diesel engine and a 249-horsepower gasoline engine.

The gearbox is a nine-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is complemented by the Driveline Disconnect system, which disables the rear wheels when driving in a stable manner.

Jaguar E-Pace 2021 is a major update of the small SUV + hybrid systems.

Four years ago, Jaguar Land Rover expanded its horizons and surprised the world with a new model. She became a large family car of the F-Pace series, a year later came the “younger” brother — the crossover E-Pace.

Appearance

You will not notice big changes in the exterior. The model began to be sold in 2017, so it’s too early for a full-fledged restyling, but the design of the main parts has been slightly redesigned.

The updated radiator grill engages. It has become wider and more powerful, chrome-plated details have been added, and the grid cells have acquired a diamond-shaped shape.

The front is equipped with Double J LED optics, which optionally changes to matrix light made using Pixel LED technology.

Jaguar says that if pre-ordered, customers can paint all chrome black by adding the Black Exterior Pack option. The rear bumper was slightly changed: the designers added a decorative mesh, installing it between the exhaust pipes.

The general style has remained the same, although someone draws attention to the fact that the baby from Jaguar has acquired a more aggressive face.

But without a list of improvements, it is unlikely that you will be able to quickly find all the differences between the new version of the E-Pace and the old one.

Salon and equipment

The stylish curved 11.4-inch multimedia screen fits in well with the updated interior of the car. The Pivi Pro information system is intuitive and perfectly replaces the navigator.

Optimizes user routes, is controlled by voice, supports the connection of two smartphones at the same time.

You can not mention support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, they are now even in “budget” cars. The owner of the new E-Pace has access to up-to-date navigation around the clock because the Pivi Pro supports wireless updates.

The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is located behind the wheel. Now you can display a map of the area on it, and choose the combination of the devices themselves, removing unnecessary elements.

A cabin filter PM2.5 is installed, which traps particles up to 2.5 microns.

The manufacturer offers three interior finishes: S, SE and HSE. In addition, the future owner will complement the image of a chic car by choosing a sports steering wheel and seats, as well as suede trim.

In the 2021 version, the review and clarity of the camera image has been improved, now the recording can be displayed on the rear-view mirror.

Competitors

Competing with the updated British SUV will be the Volvo XC 40, Audi Q3, Mercedes GLA and the German classic BMW X1. To some, the E-Pace may remind the Infiniti QX30.

In this price segment, the buyer will choose the car with his heart. All cars are roughly the same in terms of technical specifications.

By the end of 2020, a hybrid version was released for each of these brands. The price tag of premium cars does not imply any compromises when choosing.

Safety, functionality and comfort are at a high level, and the ideal exterior for each customer is different. It can be argued for a long time that Volvo, for example, has a better view, and Mercedes has the most convenient place for a handbag.

In Russia, E-Pace 2021 will start selling at a price of 3.3 million rubles.
