New Jeep Avenger 2023 SUV: all specs and features declassified.

It’s been a long time since the new Jeep Avenger 2023 electric SUV was introduced.

But only now there is full information about the technical characteristics of the American model.

The Avenger is based on an improved e-CMP2 platform. And Jeep in the development of this SUV has changed the basis, reducing front and rear overhangs.

The new solution will improve the cross-country ability of the vehicle. Ground clearance of the American novelty reaches 200 mm.

Off-road vehicle is equipped with the latest version of an electric transmission, developed by Stellantis.

Together with it, the Avenger is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 54 kWh, consisting of 10 modules of cells, which are located in the back, and 7 — under the front seats.

The American model is presented with one electric motor with 154 hp and 260 N*m of torque.

Jeep said the 1,541-pound Avenger is capable of driving up to 408 kilometers without recharging. In the city this figure increases to 550 kilometers.

Despite the front-wheel-drive layout, the Avenger, according to the official statement, is not inferior to many off-roaders in cross-country ability.

The basis of the car are McPherson front struts and rear torsion bar.

In the all-wheel drive version (no word yet on when it will be available), the Avenger’s base configuration should change.

The U.S. model’s transmission supports six driving modes, including three for off-roading.

Note that the Avenger will also enter the market with an internal combustion engine. Under the hood of this version will be a 1.2-liter turbo engine, which develops up to 110 horsepower.

On sale in Europe, the American model will not arrive until the summer of 2023.

At the moment there are no electric cars in the Jeep lineup, but in the next three years, the American brand plans to bring four such vehicles to market at once.

Moreover, the company has already officially announced three of them — Jeep Avenger, Recon and Wagoneer S, and the first one will have its official premiere in October at the 22nd Motor Show in Paris.

It is reported that Jeep Avenger 2023 is developed with an eye to the European market.

It will become the most compact model in the global range, that is smaller than the present Renegade (4.2 meters long).

According to preliminary data, the crossover will be able to drive up to 400 km without recharging, but other characteristics are kept in secret. Orders for it will be open shortly after the premiere.

Production of the model will be set up at the plant FIAT in Poland, and live sales are scheduled for the beginning of the twenty-third.

In addition to Europe, the electric car will also appear in Japan and South Korea. However, among the announced models, the most interesting is Jeep Recon.

The thing is that it is designed from scratch, and its exterior design is far from classic army image.

At the same time, the battery-powered novelty has a lot in common with the gasoline-powered Wrangler.

In particular, it has exposed towing eyes, off-road tires, short overhangs and removable doors.

However, the windshield and roof frame and the model are installed firmly, so «undress» the car completely will not work.

On the market it won’t compete directly with the Wrangler, but only with it.

Unfortunately, there is no official data on the technical «stuffing» of the Rekon yet.

According to rumors, the electric car is built on the STLA Large platform of Stellantis.

Advanced «off-road» electronics with the Selec-Terrain system and interwheel locks are promised for the battery car.

Consequently, its cross-country ability should be at the level of conventional Jeeps. But how much cruising range it will have — nobody knows yet.

Well, the third announced electric car is Wagoneer S. Like the frame SUV Wagoneer, it is built on the STLA Large platform, but it is not a variation of the flagship SUV.

It is quite an independent model, which has a much more streamlined body than the same Wagoneer, and in terms of dimensions is largely similar to the Grand Cherokee.

There is no information about its technical «stuffing», but some characteristics are announced.

Thus, the total capacity of electric motors (it is unknown how many of them there will be) allegedly reaches 600 hp.

Due to this, the car is able to accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, and its range on a single charge is claimed to be 640 km.

It is known that Jeep Recon and Wagoneer S will be officially presented in 2023, but they will be on sale only in the twenty-fourth year. They will be assembled in North America.

Both electric cars are positioned as global models, that is they will be presented in many regions of the world, including European countries.
