Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer 2022 are Jeep’s new premium SUVs.
The United States unveiled two large luxury SUVs — the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Both models have a frame body structure and are technically unified with the Ram 1500 pickup. The new items are located one step above the Grand Cherokee L, surpassing it in size and taking on the role of the brand’s flagships.

The new Jeep Wagoneer will compete with the Chevrolet Tahoe and Ford Expedition, while the more expensive Grand Wagoneer will compete with the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator.

You can place an order for cars assembled in Michigan right now, but they won’t reach American dealerships until the summer of 2021.

For the Wagoneer model, you will have to pay at least $ 59,995 (4.41 million rubles), the Grand Wagoneer version is offered at a price of $ 88,995 (6.55 million rubles).

Design and dimensions

Outside, the SUVs of the Wagoner family are almost indistinguishable from each other and, moreover, have the same body dimensions.

The length of both versions is 5435 mm, width — 2123 mm, height — 1920 mm. The wheelbase is 3124 mm, and the ground clearance is declared at 210 mm (for modifications with air suspension, it can reach 256 mm).

The appearance of both versions of the new Wagoneer uniquely identifies them as Jeep brand models. The proprietary seven-section radiator grille, to which the headlights are closely adjoined on the sides, does not give rise to doubts.

This entire composition provides a visual resemblance to the latest Grand Cherokee. However, the bumper in Wagoners is original, but the stern is made flatter and equipped with a large rectangular tailgate.

The Grand lineup will feature a special Obsidian design with black accents such as a radiator grille and badges in Black Onyx and exterior mirrors and arch extensions in Gloss Black.

The rims of such a car are also black, measuring 22 inches. The standard versions, by the way, are available with wheels with a diameter of 18 and 20 inches.

The usual Jeep Wagoner has three rows of seats with seven or eight seats. With a seven-seater layout, instead of a one-piece sofa, two separate captain’s chairs are installed in the middle.

The power unit from the Grand is different. This is also an aspirated V8, but its volume is 6.4 liters, and the power and torque are respectively 477 hp. and 617 Nm.

The engine works in conjunction with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a Quadra-Trac II all-wheel drive transmission with a two-speed transfer case.

The model also has a Quadra-Lift air suspension with five body height settings: Normal Ride Height, Off-road 1, Off-road 2, Park Mode and Aero Mode.

The new Jeep Grand Wagoneer is capable of towing a trailer weighing up to 4472 kg (a simple Wagoneer can pull up to 4535 kg).

The Trailer Hitch Line-up Assist system makes hitching easier, using the rear camera to display the picture from the desired angle on the central display.
